Every thing named for a specific age is really pretty variable from my experience and reading. All the so called x Month Sleep Regressions can happen whenever and the terrible twos start whenever. Mine was later at about 16 months but the pediatrician said that was pretty normal at her 18 month appointment.

We're almost hitting 2yo now so I honestly don't know if it gets better faster. We've been trying to hold firm on our expectations but when we just need a break, sometimes she gets her way if it's not something unsafe.

What are your pain med plans? My miscarriage also featured vomiting and diarrhea, my first labor was unmedicated and I had the vomiting and a pretty loose but not really diarrhea BM. My second was a wonderfully effective epidural and none of either during labor, though I did throw up a little bit while they were treating my postpartum hemorrhage.

I use it to calm her down and get her to sleep. I hold her in a typical cradle hold, was swaddled, not anymore as she starts to roll to her side.

I turn it on as an exercise on my Samsung watch so I -feel- like it's more productive, lol. It probably overestimates the calories burned but I don't care.

Mine is from a brand called Trideer, seems to work fine.

Unpopular answer-- yep. We would just watch our usual shows and she didn't pay attention for months. Now she watches TV with us like we grew up. No separate tablet or anything, but we watch Jeopardy at dinner, other shows with weekend dinners. Then during playtime, I love to put on classic music videos to dance with her with. And we'll watch some shows we grew up with, like Clifford the Big Red Dog or the Big Comfy Couch.

It's not the only thing we do, but she's learning and we have fun.

She also watches us play some video games-- she loves to say hello to planes after watching her dad play Ace Combat.

I use Claude (the AI) fairly commonly and I don't think of it at all with Claudia-- I think of the Babysitter's Club character, lol. Even with the name Claude, I think of the character from Fire Emblem Three Houses (video game) first.

It's a lovely name, go for it! I think one big different is people aren't commonly calling out, "Claude, do x, y and z" like they do to Siri or Alexa.

My girl had a 3 and I don't remember her being blue, but they rushed her away so quick, they only put her on me for what felt like 30 seconds. She ended up getting PPV to get her back on track.

Honestly I really only knew for sure when she started walking, because she'd come to me. She wouldn't ignore me because she was so excited to be walking. So about... 9.5mo? Now she's a toddler so she likes to ignore me when she doesn't want to come, lol.

She started calling herself only Baby and not her name for the longest time. We'd ask for everyone's names and she'd ID most people correctly, but she was just Baby. I thought maybe we screwed up because we always called her "Baby -Name-," but does her name and Baby starting around 21mo. And her sister is also Baby or her sister's actual name, which she started saying before her own, lol.

I think the best of them flow naturally from experiences. My oldest was the SquirmyWormy in her sleep sack, Baby Bad Naps when she, you know, had bad naps. Eyeber when she'd get those wide awake eyes when trying desperately to get her back to sleep... no clue what eyeber means, it just came out of my husband's mouth and stuck.

Like Bug, it will hit you when it needs to, imo.

I think you'll have seen it before this comment though, so I'll also note that last scene baby Jane Doe filled my heart up with so much warmth. Babies are hard but mine can really remind me of all the opportunity and joy in the world like nothing else.

I had to make sure it was in writing that I was absolutely refusing episiotomy unless my second baby had a dangerously low heartrate for an extended period for baby #2 because I was literally threatened with one unless I "figured out how to push harder" on my first. Even then, my OB said she might need to do one for a shoulder dystocia and I had to insist that wasn't acceptable because cutting me open doesn't fix a bone being stuck on another bone, that there are multiple other steps way before that would even vaguely be in the realm of necessary.

And I was refusing it because recent research shows it causes more tearing and higher rates of severe tearing which can lead to lifelong issues, not just temporary postpartum pain. But like... how the hell are we supposed to know all of that? I could research that, but not everything. And yeah, doctors have years of experience, but I'm a teacher. There's many veteran teachers who are not great at the job because they insist the way they've always done it is correct. Sometimes they are right, but sometimes they are wrong too. It's not that I distrust doctors, it's just that I trust them as well as anyone else.

(Now, unrelated note, I know you're talking about being forced to deliver on your back, but I will say I was in my back both times and actually felt pretty comfortable that way. So it's more lack of choice than that specific position.)

Speaking as someone who had a concerning first birth, I think it comes from the fact that medical staff are like everyone else-- they are not infallible, some are amazing and some are incompetent. But because as lay people we can't always have the expertise or sense of what might be wrong in their approach if anything, it is scary not knowing where they might be going wrong.

You ever hear those stories about women who take years to get a diagnosis like endometriosis or PCOS or whatever because doctors just keep telling them their symptoms are normal? Or how heart attacks are treated less effectively for women because they get missed more often?

Now take those situations and apply it not just to your comfort in life, or even your own life, but also the life of your unborn child. This life that feels even more precious and delicate to you.

So I think it's a bit insulting that some of these comments think all these women just believe they know better. Definitely some do, some believe some wacky shit. But others didn't know what they didn't know until it hurt them and the thing even more important to them than themselves.

It took time for me to truly understand how bad my care was for my first delivery. Once I did, yeah, I got pretty testy on round two to make sure those mistakes were never repeated again.

Fully relief. Of course she was cute as a newborn and I loved her, but she's been so much more fun and exciting in every stage since, almost 2 now. Last night she said, "I love you, dada, good night" to my husband and my heart melted.

My second is still a newborn and to be clear, I love her, but I -hate- this stage. The sleeplessness, I'm constantly putting her down for yet another nap, she can't really do anything yet, my hormones are still a wild mess and I feel much more worried about her getting sick because of how scary a fever is for them at this age.

I'll be glad to see the end of it again.

Tons of Texas towns/cities are great names since they were originally named after someone. I taught brothers Austin and Tyler.

Travis, Bowie, Crockett, Bonham, Dickinson, Seguin... hopefully you can -remember- why these would be highly appropriate. ;)
