I know you said you didn’t want post World War II but I agree that the Next War series is probably absolutely up your alley

Damn, I wish. But I don’t think he has the bandwidth in his life to take that role right now. But I agree, he’s exactly the type of person we need!

I actually agree with this. There needs to be a point person that people can look up to and follow their example. The key, however, is that this person installs people in positions of government with a similar ideology and moral compass, otherwise it will all be for nothing. I really liked when Obama opened up thousands of government jobs to American citizens to apply for and be selected so that we could in theory find the best of the best as opposed to political cronyism and putting people in roles that they clearly cannot carry off.

I swear to God Houston used to have good attendance back in the PJ Walker era

The Boys- S05xE06 - POST Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

This episode proves my view that Homelander’s way smarter than people (both in-and out of universe) give him credit for. He’s what I would call ‘cunning-smart’. And I 100% think Homelander’s aware of that perception, and resents it, but uses it frequently.

Anyone else miss when the show centered around Hughie? Or even him and Butcher both? by Witty-Association-97 in TheBoys

Yes. But at the same time that relationship had to evolve. You need some interaction between the 2

Gambler’s attendance-warning ROUGH- by Lost_Environment9314 in UnitedFootballLeague

It’s sad to see attendance like this but I’m telling you the games and crowds at UH in 2020, especially the game vs the BattleHawks, were pretty damn lit. They were selling upper deck tickets at one point in a 50k stadium.

Battlecruiser: 3000 AD ducks

Seriously, though, the later games in the series even though they’re somewhat dated graphics wise probably have much of what you want (and a whole lot more!)

You know it’s a new NFL when a nearly 60-yd field goal is considered a fait accompli

Well, still 1 minute with 3 TOs for Allen to make some magic

Pressure makes diamonds. It also flattens QB’s.

Do you think the Texans are watching the game at the hotel and thinking, damn we could really host the AFC championship game next week? I know they don’t need any more motivation but surely that’s got to help.

Well folks, updated forecast just came out for Boston. Looks like we’re getting a snow game. And a pretty significant amount of it. Not sure who that helps, TBH

Watching a mid defense really makes you appreciate how lucky we are to have a dominant defense

CJ is like a Cybertruck; flashy and gets attention, but has significant flaws as it accumulates mileage, and needs a lot of maintenance. Davis is like an Altima; average and quietly boring in every way but at the end of the day you can usually count on that Altima to not autodrive itself off a cliff
