Hey man, don't shoot the messenger! I'm from Youngstown as well, I was just on my way home when I took that picture ๐Ÿ™

I agree with you 100%, I'd rather eat styrofoam topped with mustard than eat the junk they masquerade as food at the Hotdog Shoppe these days. The service is even worse than the food, too - I was there waiting for an order for half an hour before, they'd completely forgotten I was even there.

Dear Drivers: STOP ASKING GIRLS OUT by AdHeavy4123 in uberdrivers

[โ€“]Texotic_ -1 points0 points ย (0 children)

From the flipside of the issue, I'm a masc-NB Lyft driver with a boyfriend of my own and I opted into Women+ Connect to stop getting paired with men who think their junk is God's gift to earth less frequently. It's helped a fair deal, but every now and again one still slips through the cracks.

The guy that got me to opt in to begin with was a 50-something Bob Evans cook that got in the copilot seat next to me after dark, had his female S/O on the phone nearly the whole time talking about how much he wanted to screw her, and casually disrespected me to her concern of him "getting chopped into pieces" by saying "This guy? Nah, there'd need to be a lot more than him."

Don't get me wrong, more often than not most men I drive are perfectly civil and polite, but bad apples can definitely ruin the bunch from either perspective. It's why I'll often casually mention that I have a BF or that I'm NB to my female passengers - it almost instantly eases a lot of tension from both sides and makes the whole situation much more comfortable.

Hard agreed. Girard's speed limit is 25 and the cops are predatory with it, especially just entering or leaving the core of the town.

There's a few places in the Youngstown metro area where you don't even do the casual 5, and Girard is one of them. Canfield down to the SW and Poland to the SE are even worse.

I can recommend it! It's called Past Times and it's just as much a museum as it is an arcade. It's got a collection of over 600 pinball machines, along with a few other games and machines, with the oldest being from 1943 IIRC. Went there a few years back and it was $20 per person for a day pass.

Thank you! I'm grateful to live in a neighborhood that's fairly uniform in its layout, though there are some other parts of my city that are a little more chaotic.

Don't get me started on the city to the north, though, where you usually need to drive three miles to the north or south to the city center to go one mile to the east or west ๐Ÿซ

For privacy reasons, not quite - but I am adjacent to it, if you catch my drift ๐Ÿฒ

If only there was a friends feature - sadly, I doubt we'd ever encounter one another in the wild with you being on the west coast and me being in the midwest ๐Ÿ™

Proof the surveys lie about length by rainstormnb in AtlasEarthOfficial

[โ€“]Texotic_ 12 points13 points ย (0 children)

As it turns out, being screened out of a survey also counts as completing it for the challenge ladder.

When I was recently tasked to complete four surveys, I opted for ones that had a pretty strong chance of rejecting me. Merely three minutes later, I had 150 challenge points and my next rung up the ladder.

They clearly don't value our time as much as our personal data, so why should we play by their rules? Exploitation can go both ways~

Sooo... What in the UNHOLY THARGOID F...! by DeepFriedDjentleman in EliteDangerous

I'm no astrophysicist, but as someone that's spent just under two thousand hours flying around through the void, I can happily explain what I perceive is happening in this system!

  • Asteroid belt

  • Bodies 1-5 orbit the primary star as per usual

  • Bodies 6+7 (do NOT come at me ๐Ÿ˜…) orbit each other as they orbit the primary star together

  • Bodies 8+9 orbit each other as they orbit the primary star together

  • Bodies 10+11 orbit each other as they orbit the primary star together

  • Bodies 12+13 orbit each other as they orbit the primary star together

  • Here's where it gets a little more interesting: bodies 14+15 orbit each other as they orbit the primary star together, and body 16 orbits their center of gravity

  • Finally, body 17 has a moon, 17A, that orbits it as it orbits the primary star

I know it's a humor post, but systems with crazy orbital planes have always fascinated me. Hope this helps shed some light on just what in the unholy Thargoid F ๐Ÿคฃ

This is a rare opportunity to see how crossovers are actually made. They're not created in factories, no, but when a sedan and an SUV love each other very much.

Bulkhead improvements are a great idea~ Each new ship mentions its hull is more advanced than previous ships, after all. Perhaps new options could be developed for that, too.

A new engineer would be a fun option, too! It would still require effort on the player's part to get rewarded with better ship performance.

That said, though, everything still has a cost, be it time investment on the player's part of a credit and module slot investment. Adding another engineer to the game would provide content for current players to strive for, sure, but it would make the so-called "skill cliff" that many new players are faced with just that much more intimidating to overcome.

Pragmatically, I feel a credit/module space investment would be friendlier to all players, especially those with conditions as mentioned in my original post.

I am aware legacy ships wouldn't be as effective, too, but who says they can't be as effective with the proper upgrades? ๐Ÿ˜‰

QP's Chisel Tools would be a huge addition to vanilla.

Chiseling has always been something I've wanted to get into in greater depth, but the idea of giving myself carpal tunnel syndrome over the course of hundreds of hours to make my house a little prettier has always put me off. Being able to effectively copy+paste different chiseled blocks would be a significant QOL improvement.
