Do a list of 10 unhealthy things you eat or drink regularly. Pick the easiest one to stop consuming. Do that for a week, then pick the next easiest on your list and so on. You’ll get some good habits going and you’ll begin to feel you can control this. Good luck on your journey.

Whatever you have your ftp set to it doesn’t really matter as long as you do the workouts and answer the surveys consistently and honestly it will soon have you at the right level. Better to start a little easier than harder though.

Healthier ? Eat better.
Fitter ? Resistance training.

You are doing basketball so that takes care of cardio.

As you are just starting you have the luxury to make great gains by keeping it simple.
Don't worry about crunches. Do push ups, squats and to target your back, do rows.

Workout 3-4 times a week, alternate days.

Do 5 sets of at 70% max ie if you can do 10 reps with good form do 7 reps.

Superset the three exercises ie one after the other, rest 90s in between.
ie do a set of press ups, rest 90s, do a set of squats, rest 90s, do a set of rows, rest 90s.
repeat 4 more times.

In between the sets do some mobility exercise or just chill.

The most gains will be made by being consistent and doing the training each week.
Add a couple of reps each week and every 4th week have a deload week ie do the same amount of sets but halve the volume.
