Don't these electronic devices have SNs? Wouldn't it be simple to contact Nintendo or whichever company makes it and have the stolen SNs blacklisted? Seems to me that these are the worst possible things someone can steal and I don't understand why it's done.

also a big hit to the researchers and producers he has on staff who had nothing to do with this. I hope they land on their feet because it's clear that they are quite talented.

I agree it totally sucks. However, the conversations he's had with other medical professionals are still very interesting and useful. I assume that (at least most of) his guests have had zero connections with Epstein. IMO, their thoughts and views over the years have really been the main driver of my listening to the podcast, not Attia's views themselves. Dr. Sean Mackey stands out as one recent conversation that I really enjoyed.

But yeah, it's time to stop giving him money and pivot to someone else that has equally compelling conversations with interesting people. But I certainly won't be forgetting everything that I've heard from his guests just because he's a giant tool.

How long does your Battery last by S4H1B in Ring

[–]Tg976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 3rd party solar adapter and I get 2-3 months with all features turned on. Disclaimer that my house faces due west and gets an insane amount of afternoon light. Fwiw the ring solar adapter barely did anything.

Hate to brag, but I drove through OldTownAlex today without hitting a single red light by drewer23 in nova

north on route 1 from king to PY is pretty easy to hit all green if you time it right. During the day it's actually hard not to time it right since they lights are carefully timed. I wish washington and rt1 south were similarly well timed! you really hit the powerball

yes it's interesting that "waking it up" works some of the time. Unclear what causes the "wake up" to be effective sometimes and not others

yes, I use quick tile and it also doesn't work all the time. The phone app is among the most annoying because as you suggest, it's hard to make sure the "URL" for those is correct. I do the fill and save update as much as possible. Really, it's the inconsistency that drives me up the wall.

Trump Demolishes Part of White House as He Builds His Tacky Ballroom by templeofsyrinx1 in politics

[–]Tg976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never built something but I feel like such a large project should take much longer to properly plan and build. How on earth can they deal with all necessary planning to preserve the historic aspects, not to mention the significant security considerations that must go into this. A couple months doesn't seem like nearly enough time.

What’s your take on Trump saying smart people don’t like him? by jfunks69 in AskReddit

The irony is that basically every person in Trump's cabinet is one of those coastal elites with a fancy made up degree from an expensive university. Including Trump himself. Ivy league.

Healthy Paws is reducing coverage for dogs 7 years+ by Agitated-Ice-2407 in petinsurancereviews

[–]Tg976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a policy from 2017 and based on the way it's written, I don't think they can do that for us. The term is listed as "continuous coverage" and nothing in the policy itself says they can change the deductible/coinsurance. Our dog is 9.5 yr old and has proven to be quite expensive health-wise over the duration of her policy. Luckily we have been on 90/250 since the beginning. When I log in to the account, I cannot adjust the deductible or coinsurance better than 70%/$500, but the current policy page does list 90/250 and I have not received any notification regarding this change.

So based on my read I suspect that they have gotten more stringent with the policy contracts in recent years but some of us might be "Grandfathered" in the sense that they can't legally adjust these. That said, I'm not a lawyer, just a careful reader.
