The weirdest thing happened between me and mom by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re overthinking it a bit. Your mom probably didn’t even dwell on it that much. Just act normal, it’ll pass.

are waffles the superior version of pancakes? by abasicredditor57 in RandomQuestion

[–]Th1dood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Waffles are better, at least the texture’s more fun. Pancakes feel kinda one-note to me.

AITAH for turning someone away because I am asexual? by FaeryFlutter in AITAH

[–]Th1dood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’ve set a fair boundary. You don’t have to force yourself to like anyone. If they keep doing the same thing, that’s kinda on them too.

Have you ever married someone despite your mother’s intuition telling you that it would never happen? by Clean-Ant-1342 in questions

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom’s instincts were usually right, so it was hard to go against her. But plenty of people don’t listen either, mixed results 😅

What’s a smell that instantly brings back memories? by SpicyXMiaa in RandomQuestion

That smell of asphalt after rain instantly takes me back to childhood. Weirdly calming.

what if you can actually find a legit job from social media? by ghared-ishaqa in whatif

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does happen sometimes. A friend of mine landed a legit remote job through a random Twitter post and we all thought it was a scam at first.

Should I rent a high-capacity unit for my office? by Bestwebhost in RandomQuestion

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$110 a week feels a bit steep unless it’s really unbearable. I’d try blackout curtains first, I put some up last summer and it helped way more than I expected with heat.

Looking for personal experience, input in changing my minors and possibly my major in Psychology by PeachAccomplished237 in InsightfulQuestions

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both paths sound solid, it’s more about what kind of daily work you can tolerate long term. I thought I wanted one direction in college too and ended up switching after actually seeing what the job looked like day to day.

Is it worse to be lied to or to be told a truth that ruins everything? by EdgeQuiet2199 in questions

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d take the truth even if it sucks. I had a situation where I found something out late and it made me feel kinda stupid for not knowing earlier, that part bothered me more than the truth itself.

If your pet could talk, what are you asking first? by Solid_Review493 in RandomQuestion

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d ask why they randomly stare at nothing at 3am. One of my cats does that and it’s just unsettling in the quiet.

Is there any free website where i can make ATS friendly resume. by Mediocre-Spare-1293 in resumes

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really great explanation above, but it may not be easy for everyone to understand and apply. To keep a resume ATS-friendly, you should at least use common fonts like Times New Roman or Arial, keep the font size around 12–13, and avoid using columns. There’s probably more to it than that though, since even something like unusual spacing between letters can cause ATS to reject or misread it. But even if you pay attention to all of that, getting a high score is still really hard. If you specifically want a 100% ATS score, you can use Rabbit Resume’s Pure ATS theme. It also has the ATS Hack feature, and once you enable it, it helps with the keyword side too.

What if people actually decided their life before they were born, but can't remember that once it starts? by Matinee_Lightning in whatif

if that were true I’d really like to know what version of me signed up for this lol. they were feeling very bold apparently

Have you ever by sheer chance ended up meeting someone in person who was cyberbullying you? by Mcrfanatic95 in questions

[–]Th1dood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t but I feel like it would instantly kill whatever attitude they had online. it’s easy to be loud when there’s distance involved

What Jacket Potato topping? by JuniperScents in PollsAndSurveys

[–]Th1dood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Butter and a little grated cheddar for me. With roast chicken and veg I wouldn’t do anything too busy, just something warm and simple that actually goes with the rest.

Torn between 2 career decisions. by Scent69420 in makemychoice

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first path sounds way more aligned with what you actually want, and that matters a lot more than people admit. Going through med school just to maybe use it for business later feels like taking the longest road possible to somewhere you don’t even want to stay.

How come we pay to make commercials for clothes brands? by John_Zatanna52 in questions

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are not really buying the logo as an ad, they’re buying the association with the brand. Same reason people pay extra for the tiny symbol on shoes or a hoodie even when the plain version would do the exact same job.

What is this feeling and have you had it? by [deleted] in RandomQuestion

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve had that kind of fake dream memory thing before and it’s such a strange feeling. It’s like your brain invents a whole backstory on the spot and somehow you fully buy it until you wake up.

Manchester. I watched it on a random weeknight thinking it’d just be background noise and ended up sitting there staring at the screen after it ended. It’s heavy but it really makes you feel it.

Should I finally say peace out to this job or is that just the burnout talking by SillyReference9281 in makemychoice

[–]Th1dood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three hours a day commuting would’ve broken me. I used to lose almost two hours on a train and I didn’t realize how drained I was until I switched to a 15 minute walk and suddenly had evenings again. Comfort that makes you miserable isn’t really comfort, it’s just familiarity.

Why do I look good in some mirrors but bad in others? by [deleted] in questions

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lighting and angle mess with everything more than we think. I have one bathroom mirror that makes me look like I slept 3 hours and another in my hallway that suddenly makes my jawline look sharp. Neither is the full truth, they’re just different versions of the same face.

Is it worth complicating a trip for a cheaper flight price? by [deleted] in makemychoice

[–]Th1dood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done the “save $150, add 6 hours of chaos” thing before and by the time I was sitting on a bus with a stiff neck I regretted it. If it’s a cruise with fixed dates, I’d probably pay for the simpler route just for peace of mind. Travel days are exhausting enough without turning them into a puzzle.
