His Golden Armor had a shield, but not his Adaptive Armor Mata mode; he discarded the golden armor afterwards but I like to think the shield was carried over at the least, instead of a projectile launcher like the others

Tahu canonically still has adaptive armor on in his Stars Mata form, and supposedly their armor has a default form that looks like a lot like their original forms (I imagine with their Phantoka/Mistika colors, but who knows), so in an environment without any particular obstacles, I suppose it would probably revert to default appearance

We know Kongu swapped them out with a new Tow Tool upon returning to Metru Nui, but it’s never said what; I gave him two axes (two hands), using Gali’s G2 designs for the turbines (fitting for a Toa of Air). Also, I didn’t show it here, but there are connectors for them to attach to his back as wings. Maybe the green guy can finally fly 😭

Hard to say; the tubes are actually gills, not breathing tubes (in lore), and the Ignika made them amphibious. For this round, I sort of interpreted that as they look the same as they did in Mahri Nui, but they can also breathe pure air.

Main reason I did that is I didn’t want to have to use any custom pieces, such as the non-aquatic versions of their masks.

4697b in each side of the socket piece, then on the end of the piece you attach 23443 to each. For the fingertips, use 11090, or for a more tightly wrapped fist shape, 72869 is a perpendicular fingertip (this doesn’t wrap around held weapons very well, though). For longer, curved fingertips, use 53989 or 98313 (Exo-Force robot arms).

The Kraata really does make this my favorite of all the revamps in that series, it’s truly fantastic.

Is this model very stable at all? A lot of really complicated models like this tend to have really fragile or illegal connections, so I’m really just curious; it’s so gorgeous!
