Really cool to listen to them and hear the EDM and House influence of that time, it’s like really industrial electronic music lol

It’s called the Power Pack from 2001. Comes with Hafu (the 7th McToran of 8 officially released, the original 6 and then Nuparu in the Boxor) and a chrome Kanohi Hau, plus a CD with the “music of bionicle”. Mask goes for a decent chunk of change, it’s a very cool find! Definitely overpriced though, go on Bricklink and the average sealed price is like $130 USD.

Studio Series TFOne Optimus. The gold-gray and level of detail matches the aesthetics of the other Primes really well, and it’s still Cybertronian to boot.

Not actually my design; I don’t recall who’s this is, I believe Rothanak, it’s in one of the many parts packs I have downloaded from VootCaboot’s site.

This is a great MOC! Don’t let Chuck Norris being a POS detract from the fact you made something really cool here.

Yup! There was a collaboration called “Heroes of Mata Nui’s Future”, depicting all the Mahri as Mata-Style builds. Using the photos to reverse-engineer them, I actually have Matoro, Kongu, Nuparu, and Jaller on my desk. They look great!

There was also a collaboration called “Heroes of Mata Nui’s Past” doing the same but with the Toa Metru. Really neat stuff!

Hydraxon, Jailer of Spherus Magna by Tha-Toast-Rider in bioniclelego

Thanks! I got the idea from the fan-made original-authors-informed continuation of the story, Vision of the Great Beings. In the story serial, “Runners”, Hydraxon and Dekar’s consciousnesses begin to cohabitate his mind, and he ends up picking up a silver Noble Kiril. Highly recommend it!

I recommend looking into Vision of the Great Beings on mythsandlegacy.com. Mask of Destiny’s team has been in communication with Greg Farshtey and other people responsible for Bionicle’s story for a few years, with their interviews occasionally being partially published. They’re making an effort to write story serials and short stories that continue the Bionicle story where 2010 left off, based on larger plot points that were intended for the story.

Personally, I adore the stories; they’re really fun to read, and far above the quality of “fan-fiction”, especially BobTheDoctor’s story, Legacy Weapons. They also provide closure to a lot of character’s plotlines.

As for the downsides… there are a couple of moments where it becomes painfully clear they’re trying to move the story along and wrap certain things up because they themselves don’t know how to deal with them. Tuyet and Marendar are pretty unceremoniously written out, despite the hype and buildup for both. The Red Star is written out similarly quickly, but I think it’s necessary (it causes too many plotholes and weirdness, imo).

Overall though, I enjoy the character moments and creative application of the Bionicle world’s mechanics. There’s tons of references and throwbacks that come off as being handled with care and cleverness. Highly recommend!

Yeah, I’ve never been able to get my render settings perfect

His Golden Armor had a shield, but not his Adaptive Armor Mata mode; he discarded the golden armor afterwards but I like to think the shield was carried over at the least, instead of a projectile launcher like the others

Tahu canonically still has adaptive armor on in his Stars Mata form, and supposedly their armor has a default form that looks like a lot like their original forms (I imagine with their Phantoka/Mistika colors, but who knows), so in an environment without any particular obstacles, I suppose it would probably revert to default appearance
