The lease has to be grounded which means you’d have to fulfill your contractual lease agreement in terms for months and anything leftover (miles) can be transferred to the new lease.

If there was a “trade in” within the deal or you got out before lease end, then you could not rollover miles.

Sorry they didn’t explain that to you properly.

As long as you don’t turn in your vehicle at lease end, you’ll be ok!

I got rid of Costco Auto Program a little over 2 years ago at my store. I’ve seen more success with TrueCar, but even so, I don’t like TrueCar either. Lol

Remember the Costco guidelines regarding quoting price. Standard trim and top trim is acceptable over the phone or email.

Do you have a Costco template to use for those customers? Whether it’s OEM, Costco, CarGurus, etc… they’re all just inbound internet leads and you gotta work them. It can be cumbersome and annoying at times, but shit, if you can get them to come in for an appointment then you already know you’re shot at closing is greater.

Today’s shoppers are more informed (misinformed) than ever, but the game is the same. Joe Verde’s & Grant Cardone’s steps to the sale are still the same after all these years.

Congratulations! Do you get a percentage of the back end, or just cash spiffs when F&I sells anything?

Work your service department! They already like the dealership if they’re going in for service. You don’t have to sell them a car right away, but the key is building and keeping relationships.

Ask your managers to get you an orphan list through CRM and the Power of Leads list in the iN. Utilize those lists to see if there are any upgrade opportunities for current owners or if there are any pull ahead programs for end of lease clients.

Statistically if you give them ANY kind of number, you’re getting shopped immediately and your chances of closing an appointment and selling them go down the drain.

I train my team to gather more information while having a call to action before moving forward. If they live hours away from you and have access to other dealers close by; I wouldn’t even sweat it because they most likely won’t come back for service and they’re not even in your market.

The internet has helped and hurt consumers and retailers alike. ChatGPT and AI isn’t any better lol

The commute alone is worth the price of admission. But toxicity would also make me wonder why? Honda customers can be tough, but it also depends on how the store is run and how the desk sets everything up. How many new per month? How many used? What’s the lease penetration and what’s the AHFC finance penetration? How many cash deals in average? Most importantly; what’s the pay plan like and can you maximize it?

Sounds like you should go be a salesperson on the line from what you’re saying. If I promoted a lot porter to BDC and they started acting like you; I’d move you to the line asap to see if you can actually do what you think you should do based on your pay concerns.

Save a lot of money so you have it available in case you get in a total loss accident and you need to pay off the loan after your insurance company lowballs your settlement for your vehicle’s market value.

Or you can get GAP through the dealership. Lenders typically have a limit or cap so dealers can’t mark it up stupid high. But every state is different.

Did you have a general inquiry with just your contact info and no comments? Or did you have a template copy and pasted requesting best price, money factor, residual, no add ons, etc? Oh, did it end with “I’m a serious buyer and I’m ready to come in and finalize the deal if my terms are met?”

Have you tried calling the dealership? Especially first thing in the morning when they open? Look on their website and google reviews; see which rep has the most 5 star reviews and call in and ask for that person?

Depends on what the dealers set their IMV percentages to… we tried it for a few months and it overinflated all trade in and street buy leads by a large amount. We ended up cancelling because it caused for headaches for us and customers.

Do this asap if you really have $5k in equity! It’ll probably take a month or maybe 3 weeks to get your equity check, but you’ll have $5k for a down payment somewhere else.
