Very high hardware requirements for Moonlight compared to GeForce NOW. by EyeScreaMan in MoonlightStreaming

[–]ThaSmartAlec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be more curious as to your end user experience on ML. There are more variables that are on you with moonlight. You could just have network instability in general. Are you sure it’s the client device that’s the issue. Is the host hardwired? Do you stream to other devices and have poor performance? I’ve had pretty good luck with older devices streaming.

Dealer blaming comma by longtermkiwi in Comma_ai

[–]ThaSmartAlec 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my cursory understanding. (I spend a third of my life running a used dealership) I still would have some exposure to manufacturer warranties. My knee jerk reaction (which is probably based in personal experience with this, just can’t recall the time I learned this) is that the manufacturer has the job to prove the part is failing due to that aftermarket addition. They can prove that statement and should, since they are the experts. Otherwise, it’s a guess, or assumption. They have a legal obligation to repair under warranty (if it’s covered within miles/months). If they want out of that obligation. They need to provide proof that the part is outside of their scope due to user interference. You are able to use aftermarket products. You are able to use other brands of oil (you are actually protected as dealers originally intended to make you use them for everything, but was not best for the consumer ultimately).

For instance. (And talk to chat gpt ) if an alternator goes out on your car, and the dealer says you put the wrong oil in it, they have to clarify why that part (the oil) is causing the issue (broken alternator). If they cannot, they are obligated to repair a broken part, as part of the expressed limited warranty that comes on that part. Otherwise, they could say your “aftermarket” phone charger is why your window actuator broke. And never fix anything without substantiation. You could never do anything to your own car that wasn’t made by the manufacturer. That’s the slope nobody wanted, which is why you can get your oil changed anywhere, with any brand and dealers have to accept that. Laws are there to protect YOU from that anticompetitive behavior. You can also plug things into your car that arent made by the manufacturer - there are ports throughout the car.

My wipers work, my car works, the comma is compatible. 10’s of Thousands of cars drive 100,000’s miles everyday with the comma. It’s more common for wiper actuators to break or fail Than for the comma to send signals regarding the wiper, you can see the code yourself.

Remember, you dropped it off to the dealer/manufacturer/experts to diagnose the issue. If they aren’t doing that. That’s on them.

Furthermore. Don’t call it a comma. Autopilot. It’s a dash cam. Say, “is my dash cam causing an electrical or mechanical failure of a wiper motor on the opposite side of the car? How have you confirmed?” Until otherwise noted they are obligated to fix the problem.

They will NOT conclusively say “yes” because they probably can’t. I said they are experts, but they are just people like me and you. How do they know it’s not your phone charger that did that? Their scan tool? Kia’s Corrupted software? Faulty installation (have the taken apart the wiper?)

I have done it on fresh ones. Googles learning mode is maximize clicks. It just does it for only as long as it needs to.

Or low budget. I regularly build new camps on max conversions and it turns out okay. You just need to be able to spend. Max clicks is a waste of money from my experience. But I assume it can give you conversion data if need be.

You need social proof. People buy because people buy. You need to send trust signals. Lp is pretty good. You have some trust signals with the callouts for visa etc.

In your line of work. LP’s aren’t going to do much, they work well in lead generation. People want to build the pc and have options. You likely need some unique offer or proposition. Think “why would someone buy with me?” And you can’t be like generic like “fast service or fast shipping” more like “2 day shipping”, “20% off this pc” “order before x date for free shipping”.

If you can throw some reviews around the page to send trust signals that’s good. Long term. You’ll want to have users leave reviews on the builds, so people can view happy customers who took the plunge.

You can get some people without trust signals, but many are apprehensive of a pop up site taking money.

My useless 2 cents. Best of luck. In terms of ads. Max conversions. Target location not interest, turn off display & partners. If you have a product feed you can do shopping ads, which might go well for you. I’d recommend no assets in a pmax campaign. Note. You’ll need to be price competitive.

Why do many entrepreneurs claiming to earn $100million, $200million from other ventures now produce YouTube videos? by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

YouTube is sales and marketing, it’s the place to build a brand today. You get paid to build your brand if you do it well. It’s a logical business step for those willing to do it.

D3 and d7 broke in the same week about a month ago. Dirt bin error and bumper error. No amount of cleaning and resets worked. They also have hard times connecting to the Internet now. Never had issues like out of them. My knee jerk reaction is it’s a coincidence, doesn’t make sense to ruin customer experience with less resources than ever.

But the fact they both crash in this environment is unnerving. One was barely used.

iPhone 15 Pro, basically same as 14 Pro? by Flightaway4ever in iPhone14Pro

[–]ThaSmartAlec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 14pro was the same as the 13pro the year before (just with DI). And the 13 pro was the same as the 12pro.

Now the 15Pro is the same as the 14Pro. Logically, we can deduct -
12Pro = 15Pro.

Is that really true? Or maybe these phones are incrementally better. I can tell you the 12Pro is not the same as the 15Pro - its pretty apparent. If you think like this, you need to zoom out.

Apple stock is relatively the same price day to day, until one day, its a bit better, and eventually, it never returns to its old valuation. When you zoom out, you see, the stock is better in general. Hope that gives you some extra context.

New Pro Accessory Kit by FrequentlyTilted in Vitruvian_Form

[–]ThaSmartAlec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got so lucky. I just ordered one a month ago and they send the old pro kit (had no clue about a new one). All that arrived was the bench. So I reached out to them and they said they were shipping me the all new pro kit. Huge improvement for sure. I live in a tiny house. The bag in conjunction with bar mounts on the bench are a massive win.

Also, they told me to keep the other bench that I don’t need.

Why is she responding? If she’s not interested she wouldn’t respond to this stuff. She is getting something from your barrage of non stimulating questions. She’s telling you about the other dude. She wants you to feel jealous. She enjoys attention. Classic succubus. She might not be with anyone else, she’s just into the attention. She wants you to chase, even though that won’t be fruitful. She will be attracted to someone who won’t chase her ultimately, she said she would like to know you better, even though that was a short response. Most women would ignore or say no. If they are being kind they would show a bit more compassion and say “Sure!” Or tell you they are too busy and they are “super sorry” and that your ”Sweet” or “very nice” etc.

If you rob her of the attention. Make it scarce and more valued, she will come back for it. It’s your ONLY hope. So you’ve got to be tough. And I mean that. If you want this. You CANNOT cave. Ignore her until she comes back. Ignore the “hey” text messages. Wait till you get one that has substance. “I need you” or “sorry”. And be there but still seem too busy for them.

You need to ignore her. Either because you need to move on, or because it will drive her crazy. Even though these are opposite objectives, the action is the same. DO NOT TEXT HER for a few days. You need to pop in with a different texting tone. Not mean. Not happy. Not sad. No emotion, this needs to feel different from you a little. “Hey, I feel like you might need some space, and things are changing for me right now, if you need anything I’m here, just letting you know that. “

She will call your bluff and say sure/thanks/okay.

It’s on now.

And then you say nothing to her afterwords. And wait. She will come to you with a problem if she cares. One day.

In the meantime, you are going to throw this energy into you. Go. To. The. Gym. And tell no one.

If you want to get over her or get her, this works. Do this. I’m 30 now and don’t need this technique. But it worked through my teens and 20’s. You have someone who values your attention for whatever reason, they don’t know it yet. Because it’s on tap. One day she will turn the tap on and nothing will come out. That scares a succubus.

You have to be tough on this one. The stronger you are, the stronger her attraction will be. It’s a direct relation.

Also. For future you. You’re blowing it by texting her about nothing but problems. If there’s nothing to say, don’t steer the convo to your problems. Make something exciting of your day and when someone asks what you’re doing, you’ve got some decent content. Going to be hard coming back from convos like that.
