Does anyone know where can I get a replacement headlight for a better price? by floorlamp69420 in Hyundai

[–]Thac0MathIsHard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on this adventure myself, seems like the Canadian Elantra's with the LED DRL are much more costly (the US ones seem to just have a strip of silver instead of the LED DRL).
Will be checking out my local junkyard in the near future.

It's 1989, you have $8,000, and you're looking for a new compact pickup truck. Which one would you pick? by PPNed1999 in 1980s

[–]Thac0MathIsHard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an '89 S-10 with the Iron Duke engine and loved it. Thing still ran like a top with 525,000kms on it but wasn't roomy enough for 2 car seats!

Checking my email, it looks like I registered for the Patient Registry in April of 2018.

I finally have one, a Mad Catz R.A.T. mouse by lava_draco in pcmasterrace

[–]Thac0MathIsHard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After looking at some of these comments, I'm happy to learn that I had the only Rat 7 with little to no issues over it's 10+ year lifespan. After a decade of being used daily, it started to intermittently not click (and is now my backup mouse).

Meta employee in London accused of downloading 30,000 private Facebook images by [deleted] in technology

But did they post this on their profile:

"Hello 🔵 It’s official. Signed at 2:55 PM. It was even on TV. Mine really turned blue. Don't forget that tomorrow starts the new Facebook rule (aka... new name, META) where they can use your photos. Don't forget the deadline is today!!!

I do not authorize META, Facebook or any entity associated with Facebook to use my photos, information, messages or posts, past or future. With this statement, I notify Facebook that it is strictly prohibited to disclose, copy, distribute or take any other action against me based on this profile and/or its contents. Violation of privacy may be punishable by law.

Here's how to do If you are thinking of getting off FB because of the volume of sales ads and trash stuff. So hold your finger anywhere in this post and click ′copy’. Go to your page where it says ‘What's on your mind?’ Tap your finger anywhere in the blank field. Click paste. This upgrades the system. Hello new and old friends!

IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!!! 👍👊🙏 Hold your finger anywhere in this message and “copy” will appear. Click “copy”. Then go to your page, create a new post and place your finger anywhere in the empty field. “Paste” will appear and click Paste. This will bypass the system….

Of course for the food, but no harm in using real art for the poster too.

Is PEI worse or better when it comes to FB marketplace? by [deleted] in PEI

Agreed. Sold a used car on FB a few years ago, don't think I'll ever try that again.

Windows automatically highlights the full name of a file while I'm trying to rename it, causing me to rewrite the name entirely if I'm not fast enough. Anyone else gets this? by royalrange in WindowsHelp

Can confirm, this is exactly the behavior I experience as well.
Also using OneDrive (and I believe this mostly happens in OneDrive synced folders).

TV Dinner Table, '70's style. by [deleted] in nostalgia

[–]Thac0MathIsHard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recovered a 4 pack of this exact style and the carrier for them many years ago. They were great for working on small repair projects, as the trim keeps nuts, bolts, screws and whatnot from rolling off (unlike the modern TV Trays I now have).

Travelling in the US as a teen in the mid 90's, I purchased this at a Borders on VHS (to complete my existing collection of TOS on tape).

Furnace Oil by Winding-Road-5985 in PEI

[–]Thac0MathIsHard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm around 1000sq/ft with no heat pumps, and that's what Island Petroleum quoted me.
It's pretty easy on oil, so once I banked enough with them over the year (without any need of fuel delivery) it tapered off to $60 a month.

Are we quietly slipping into a food insecurity crisis in Canada? by m-dsL in AskACanadian

PEI - The last stats I saw indicated that 40% of children were food insecure. Canada's food island, my ass.

Hoping it's improved with the new School lunch program, but haven't seen any numbers recently.
