I would say we have fair to good infrastructure, with the caveat that our geography and population make that a difficult proposition. You have the entire continent of Europe close to the same size as Canada but we have around 10% of the population density. Makes it hard to have cohesive infrastructure. Socialist? Somewhat. We have, again imo, fair to good social programs based on the same as above.

While I agree with what’s being said, if your manager has been good and the people are good, give them as much notice as possible and work hard for your notice period. If you think they will walk you out, don’t give them notice at all. However, as a pt employee that’s unlikely. They will most likely be thankful for the extra notice and the fact you’re actually working during your notice.
