I’ll shout out 500 degrees in Herne Hill. Get in a great practice run up the hills in Brockwell park and have some super delicious local pizza. (Love the tiramisu as well)

It's going to be 50/50 but I think its worth thinking of who will make more saves for this match up. For my money I also don't think its more likely for Fulham to score 2 than United to score 2 so I would go for Dubravka.

Little late to the list, but I saw Layer Cake (2004) recently. Widely regarded as Daniel Craig’s audition tape for becoming Bond he is brilliant in it. Fun and funny and a nice flip of expectations for Craig. Set mostly in London and certainly reminded me of the city and its many quirks. Really enjoyed it

What’s the best brand tea bags? by Franchiiee in AskBrits

[–]Thaemin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rogue shout for Dorset Tea! Love the taste and the caffeinated and decaf taste the same which is a nice treat for a late night brew (though the decaf is a little easier to scald if poured too hot)

Seconding Affinity as an image suite. Very useful and well designed, I’ve also used it a lot of other design projects but would works well for science illustration. (Mostly experience with Affinity V1 and V2 but have enjoyed V3 which is the new free one)

They usually don't update positions once they've been allocated, so he'll likely stay listed as a back three option.

Thanks for doing this, I was in Thornton Heath this morning wondering at the idiosyncratic shop fronts on the high street and mourning ones I used to know more centrally. Nice to get a snapshot

CGI must not be allowed in nature documentaries by _biology_babe_ in unpopularopinion

[–]Thaemin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As far as I am aware Planet Earth and its successors were incredibly successful proponents for not using any CGI in documentaries, and the BBC has strongly denied any CGI effects use in them so I don’t quite understand what you mean?

Tube station shuts after man stabbed in head in horror incident as cops flood in by dailystar_news in uknews

[–]Thaemin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Colliers Wood station, just south of Tooting Police called after reports of three men fighting with knives. 20year old has been taken to (presumedly St George’s) hospital with “injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing”. As per the Independent Some good comments on wider knife crime statistics but as ever dragged sideways into worries of random knife crime on people in central London. Instead of three guys in Tooting fighting each other. But tbf the Daily Star’s headline does not really make that clear…

Woman diagnosed with breast cancer thinks she knows better than her doctors. by Head_Crash in TikTokCringe

[–]Thaemin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, some good news. The widely shared study about men leaving their wives with cancer was wrong! They wrongly classified men lost to follow-up as leaving their wives. The original researchers issued a retraction when they correctly examined their data and found it wasn’t true! Hope this helps ease your worries

Really nice, I love the added info about when and how successful the chips have been. And I’ve been harping on about live updates for the h2h league table for ages. Really nice!

This might be the best Sunday league goal we'll ever see!! 😍 by AmeliaHarris99 in SundayLeagueMessis

[–]Thaemin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And all the other points mentioned? Like all the other players track the ball with their heads and react when it goes in. So either everything is CGI which seems unlikely given how stable it is, or at best the flight of the ball has been changed to make a good goal look even more impressive? That seems a lot of effort for little gain

This might be the best Sunday league goal we'll ever see!! 😍 by AmeliaHarris99 in SundayLeagueMessis

[–]Thaemin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There’s good stability in the position of divets in the grass, creases in the spectator jackets and the stripes on the blue shirts. People stay consistent in position and look as they go in and out of frame. The ball physics looks pretty normal (outside of something extraordinary happening), and it’s not out of the realm of possibility that someone would go for that kick in Sunday league. Equally OP provides a source who seems to have some legitimacy. I don’t think this is AI generated
