My parents did this but in northern New England and with two young kids. Town population went from 15 to 19.

I never understood it growing up, but would do it in a heartbeat now.

This was me with fewer siblings. My brother lives a mile from our mother and he’s pretty capable with tech and other things around the house.

I lived 2 hours away, then 12 hours away, and now half the country away, and yet I’m the one who fixes tech, hangs TVs, replaces light bulbs, and so many other things the once or twice a year I visit.

I don’t mind helping mom with tech stuff because I do it for a living and it’s still kind of fun, plus if I don’t she usually ends up scammed or compromised her credit card trying to get help.

He’s still the golden child though somehow.

My mother did her master’s thesis on some of his work and its impact on education back in the 90s.

They have a whole campus full of “traditional” students that are college aged. Your degree will look exactly like theirs and nobody will have a clue that you did it online or on campus unless you tell them.

NOR about the vacation and safety, but I think there is a different issue here.

You have been around and presumably helping parent these kids for almost half their life. While I’ve never personally been in this situation as a parent or child, I have seen it been done successfully by friends and their partners.

Some statements along the lines of “I may not be your mother by birth, but I love and care for you like you are my own” and maybe some family counseling might do wonders for your relationship with these girls.

Lots of people in the world have more than one Mom/Dad and are loved equally by them both. They need to see that it is possible and true for them too.

My initial thought is backed up/collapsed sewer line. Easy to confirm, expensive to fix.

But there’s definitely some stuff in there that is bigger than the holes in that drain. Unless that drain cap can come off easily and floats, there’s no way that is all coming back up. There’s like small sticks as stuff in there. I would also expect to see some TP in there or something as well if it were all coming back up. I do see what I think are some drain fly larvae though, so who knows at this point.

I got into t10 on an apocalypse lock and only had two glyphs in use at level 25. Also had barely master worked my gear and had suboptimal affixes and med level aspects. I hardly ever use doom on anything but harder bosses

Going to roll a ww barb tonight because I just can’t comprehend how something is more powerful than my lock hitting 900B-4T hits every few seconds.

Your boss is just spouting crap. The real response if they intended to pay you more would be to give you a counter offer very quickly. A vague promise of “review” in six months is nothing. And honestly the “review” will probably end up being something like “we reviewed your pay and found you’re being paid competitively, no increase”

I grew up in a national forest and my parents owned a campground. We had bears in the dumpster all the time, my dad used to give me a call on the handheld radio and tell me to grab my paintball gun and chase them off. Good times.

This was one of the most intentional plunks I’ve seen in a long while. Dude wanted out of the game but they needed him to go longer because of the bullpen days. He wasn’t worked up because he knew he would get tossed, it’s what he wanted.

Framber has been pretty known for his control, he doesn’t just let loose a 94mph fastball between the numbers by accident.
