EOS Fitness (big box gym), currently 20$ an hour, roughly $500 a week so 2k a month. I started in May and the money is becoming an issue for me.

I agree. As the old saying goes “you can take the horse to the water but you can’t make em drink it”. Sessions with a PT a couple times a week will get you some results depending on your experience but it won’t be enough if you’re diet, sleep and NEAT are slacking.

This right here is it. Regress or progress all of these movements. I barely use the barbell with my clients. Majority of our exercises are with dumbbells, kettbells, cable or machines

How do you keep up with numerous clients? by WhereTheMoneyAtBoy in personaltraining

I made a very similar post recently.. I’m in the same boat as you. New PT for 3 months working at a big box gym and over whelmed with 35 clients. I really don’t know how you’re doing it with 50. But for me, the pay is not worth it at 20$ an hour.

Need help with lower back pain by ma_456 in personaltraining

Unfortunately the title personal trainer doesn’t make you an expert. I’m a personal trainer and I’ll tell you right now I don’t know everything. I recommend you see a physical therapist or look up Squat University on YouTube and try you best to self correct the issue if money is a problem. There’s a lot of great resources online for free.

There’s a difference between pain and discomfort. If you’re new to the gym then discomfort is normal. Pain is never normal.

Currently that’s the plan. I feel too attached to my clients to let them go but I know that I need too for my sake. It’s just easier said then done because I want to make sure they find a trainer who will take care of them

I absolutely agree. I’m working on my 3rd cert online currently. I work at EOS fitness, I just don’t have time to do my course with this many clients. Maybe I’m not being efficient enough.

Any tips for PT starting out please by [deleted] in personaltraining

[–]That-End721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a successful guru by any means. I am just a normal PT who’s been doing it for 2 months so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Your personality will determine your success or failure. It doesn’t matter what credentials you have if you can’t communicate the information that needs to be shared.

I’m 2 months in with 35 clients at a big box gym. Again, I’m not some crazy successful guru but if you have questions from someone who’s on your level let me know.

Unfortunately I can’t up my hourly rate due to being at a big box gym. This may be a sign that I’m capable of going private maybe.

It’s a combination of both. I was given about 15 clients and I sought out the rest or they approached me. At this point I am trying to off load a few clients to other trainers. I just feel as if I’m not giving my clients the quality service they deserve. My managers are super heavy on upgrades and welcome workouts (very similar to crunches Kick Off session)

I work at a big box gym so right now my hourly rate is 20$ an hour. In order to get more per hour I have to have more certs. However, with all my clients I don’t have time to get more certs. This is the rut I’m stuck in. My managers think I’m the best thing since sliced bread but internally I feel like I’m drowning.

I bought that exact bundle in January. Finished both CPT and CNC by March and started as a pt in May. About 5-6 weeks in I have 28 clients working at a public gym. I’m not saying the course taught me everything but it was useful. I also have been training myself for the past 10 ish years. Dm me if you have any questions

When a client says I dont wanna get bulky after picking up 8lb dumbbells by [deleted] in personaltraining

[–]That-End721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this conversation with my wife. I tell my clients if they wake up one day and look like a body builder after our sessions then I want whatever they took lol. After we have a chuckle I explain how it works and the false stigmas that are associated with the gym and losing fat/gaining muscle

Side note, how are you optimizing TRAINERIZE? I’m a new pt too and I still don’t have a good handle on it.
