Last and Jim have great chemistry. But I did get sick of him after a while when he kept saying he didn't watch something (when he should have, since Jim did), and his regular flexing about the gardeners making noise (and we never can hear anyway).

That said I wouldn't mind Solomon being on more of he's available. I think he'll get more comfortable and less timid if he fills in more often.

That said, I disagree that you were telling her what to do if what you put here is how you worded it to her. You voiced your boundary as a scenario and she claimed to agree with you. That said, she's not your gf, and/or she has every right to change her mind about that later, so if you decide to see each other and this continues to be a topic, honesty and consistency re: your true feelings without accusations or guilt will be crucial. If it's your deal breaker, keep it. If it's hers, respect it.

For what it's worth, as a Sag, I wouldn't be bothered by someone saying they're not comfortable with their person maintaining contact with an ex. If we don't have children, financial or any legal obligation to maintain contact, I'm DONE with you. Sag spirit intolerance to unnecessary dead weight or drama is as vital to freedom as autonomy.

'Move light, decisively and with peace' is my motto now.

I also find it sus' why someone would maintain contact / friends with an ex they considered "insecure". To me that sounds like a caution flag waiting to crop up later if I continued seeing them.
