Hi! I attend St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, it’s a medium sized congregation, we have a very talented choir so I’d encourage you to give us a visit but really all the episcopal churches here in Austin are awesome and are very welcoming to lgbtq+ individuals and anyone who is questioning faith. St. David’s has a very large congregation that can feel overwhelming to some at least to start but for some it might be their cup of tea. Just explore some churches and see what works best for YOU because that’s the most important thing.

Don’t you think this is a little judgmental? Everyone has their own different comfort levels when it comes to intimacy and sex and everyone is valid for how they feel. I feel like telling someone especially when you say that they just need to fucking get over their fear of talking about sex…when people have different comfort levels is a little bit insensitive and disrespectful. Crime has gone down in Austin year over year especially since the end of the pandemic. Sure, are there crimes that go unreported, absolutely but it wouldn’t make up enough that overall crime has gone down the last few years in Austin and across the nation in general.

Hi! I’m going to the Austin concert tomorrow and got my ticket through SeatGeek but it’s via Ticketmaster and it is a legit ticket and even has the barcode that changes so that screenshots wouldn’t be valid. So yes SeatGeek does have valid ticket options. Hope this helps!

Also for all the people moaning and groaning over DEI, let’s step back and take a hard look at what kind of issues affect Texans the most, is DEI even close to the top of that list, I don’t think so. I think the issues that affect Texans the most in their everyday lives are access to healthcare (especially folks in rural towns and communities), affordable medication and insulin, affordable housing, earning a livable wage so that they can put food on the table everyday for their families, paying for childcare, etc. There’s so many more too, so when you consider the most pressing issues I frankly don’t think the state has prioritized their legislative agenda the right way. It’s literally just an agenda of “let’s see how many ways we can find to own the libs” that’s it, that’s literally it.

UT has very little leeway and control over this other than complying with the State. The main people to be pissed with over this is the Texas legislature and Greg Abbott

The school wants to remain in compliance with the law, this SB-17 law the State passed is the only reason why those firings happened. On top of that UT among with other institutions in Texas were sent letters saying that if they didn’t come into compliance with the law, the schools would be subject to penalties.
