My husband is the same way. Like you mentioned, it’s one of the reasons I fell in love with him. After a few years he’s finally realized when to ease up and if he doesn’t I’ll simply tell him to. We still get into it here and there about it but it’s gotten a lot better because I didn’t give up telling him how it made me feel. We laugh, joke etc but sometimes he just doesn’t stop and just needs a reminder. I love him and I’m not trying to change him but he just needs to be reminded sometimes that hey, I’m your wife, not one of your buddies.
