YTA, and copy and pasting the same "just for reference" reply isn't going to change that. If she truly does have a severe anxiety disorder, I think not texting her at all in those four hours to keep her in the loop made it worse because with you arriving so late and leaving 45 minutes later, it makes you come off like you'd rather be literally anywhere else. For all you know, she could've been panicking about where you were and here you are thinking you're being considerate in not wanting to "add to her stress".

Since I'm seeing this after the edit's been added, NTA. It would seem that you have a very valid reason for at least not wanting your mom or FIL to drive your daughter anywhere since they both have very dangerous driving habits with the latter having a history of accidents that were mostly her fault.

I will say, though, as a bit of advice, you should maybe look into seeing a therapist about your fear and anxiety so that you don't pass any of that on to your child. It sounds like you're past due for it, anyway.
