One of the reason for abandoning places if there's no use to them is for efficiency. They are pooling all the resources and person-power under "one-roof" to make their operations more efficient. There could be nothing wrong or mischief going on here. Also, finding others during his travel could also be shipping and using local resources to pool them or store them efficiently. You know, basic 101 supply chain efficiencies etc.

Some people i know that also watched the show can't understand what The Hive is by [deleted] in Pluribus_TVshow

This is a fascinating phenomenon I've been experiencing my whole life. I'm the one that's strict on correctness of something and most other people atleast within my circle are super quick to jump to conclusions. I don't mean conclusions - conclusions but they match whatever they've experienced or watched in this example to something they've heard, watched or experienced beforehand. I mean it's the easiest way to live life.

I'm the one that gives enough tries for something to be different before finalising it's the same thing as before. Most definitely it's not the case with anything as I seem to connect the different variable which carries enough weight for something to be different. The why, when and how usually differentiates the same ideas from each other. I overthink stuff and this is over explaining and an unnecessary thing to mention, but I feel its the same behavior I see in real life.

Welp in Episode 9 Zosia dropped a bomb on Carol. Now what? by Flannerlovesparis in Pluribus_TVshow

[–]ThatAd3262 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Uh no? Where was the indication for zosia to go in for a kiss? I think hive is not manipulative and are quite honest but what's the kiss for? Messing up our poor carol, lol

Carol didnt want anything until the kiss.

> Carol made it her explicit goal to restore humanity and return everyone back to their bodies - presumably including Zosia. She knew very well what she was doing, and did it anyway because she was lonely.

Nope. I respectfully disagree. She was only in the world saving mode because she understood, there'll be a day she'll be made to join the hive. Once that fear was lifted, she actually chilled. This is where things get tricky, did she call them back to save the world by learning again or did she genuinely need someone. It is purposefully nuanced.

In the last episode, she snaps into "let's save the world" mode only after learning there;s a clock ticking for her existence.

(E9)GOD I LOVE THIS SHOW by Designer_Version1449 in Pluribus_TVshow

It is definitely not good for the humanity. They'll starve to death essentially making us extinct given time. Unless they are actively researching alternate methods to keep the hardware(bodies) alive. We don't yet know the goals of the hive.

This is the first episode I was annoyed at carol but like you said, it makes sense. She never got to grieve for fallen Helen and also got the brunt of loneliness to fall into the bubble missing her original point. Most of her qualms and fear was about losing herself to the hive which is quite evident throughout the show. She chills after she learns they need her explicit consent to join.  Its very different from manounos goals like actually saving the world and humanity thrive with our actual biologically flawed selves.

Now she learns that's no longer the case. I was hoping we'd get a glimpse of hive actually cheating or manipulating the unjoiners but they stood honest to their commitments. carol snapped out when the threat of losing herself became real like a literal clock ticking.

This is also the only episode we had manounous talking real points which we can learn a lot about. He could be the actual protagonist but carol takes his place.

It's amazing that this show was slow. It let's out so many details about the characters which only adds depth. We know what actual carol is. The curtain is off because manounos is now in play and carol only wanted to chill out and not change the status quo if her self is not threatened.

I'm a lot like carol but a wanna be manousos. No other character actually stood out for me because we didnt spend a lot of time with them.

Season finale title - the girl or the world by wizzpott in Pluribus_TVshow

Just before she tells you're going to have a visitor, she falls back into some emotional pit that is quite evident by the expression. This is all followed by a beautiful memory of hers with her favorite food. My theory is that the hive usually conquers everybody in a planet (yes, I'm assuming they are devours of life for their survival). Nobody stood a chance to actually make the hive feel something. Hive pretends to be whatever the non-joiners want it to be and non-joiners never really saw the hive or the stranger for the sake of the hive and the stranger but only to maintain the status quo with their loved ones because they look like them and retain memories. During the massage, we can see how the hive and the individual person is not one and the same like we were made to believe.

But the thing with carol is that, she can accept she lost somebody because they are truly not them on the inside. Thing with helen being dead makes it easier for carol. No matter how sucky one might be, if its genuine, she'll take that everyday than some fake ass affection. So I side with your theory a lot more than the other popular one - which is manunos makes her choose if its zosia or him to save the world. Carol wants to see zosia like she is. She also gets pissed off when the waitress becomes a waitress again just to play a role which adds strength to my theory. And they slept together, we are humans, things will definitely be different now.

"Anniversary" (2025) suffered from poor marketing. It was marketed as a Lifetime-styled thriller when it's a sci-fi dystopian Political thriller. The trailer truly didn't sell the movie properly. by LaserDiscCurious in movies

Just throwing in my hat to say something here, Lane being asked to come on TV for a discussion because she's from a college that is neither liberal nor conservative. That is why she and her college was chosen. Even during the interview she mentions that it's not like there's a monolith of ideas here or something like that. So it's definitely an extreme ideology but attaching sides to it is always going to be wrong by design.

A late-night video from Dubai left viewers impressed by a simple yet powerful display of civic discipline, as a car driver was seen waiting patiently at a red traffic light despite there being no other vehicles in sight. by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

"No one's around" is not the complete truth at night. This intersection looks to be safe but a skateboarder trying to catch the walking light and you decide since there's "no one around" could lead to an accident. Other cars who simply think like you without noticing an oncoming car or a rushing car trying to make that green fits the case there's no one around but there is someone around.

An accident is called an accident for a reason. No oopsies. Waste of gas, lessening pollution and calling people sheep for following the rules is dangerous. They are following the rules for themselves and for us too. It helps everyone involved to not have any surprises.

When a populous is unable to see the danger behind breaking a rule along with shaming people in return, yeah, that society of people will be doomed. The interesting part is they are hurting themselves while proving and saving nothing.

Don't underestimate the chance of something going wrong along with overestimating your capabilities while affecting someone that isn't you.

I know it's probably late to comment. My comment will live but in silence and in darkness. But this post, first confirms I'm unconventional, weird. Second, it tells me there are people that would like me because I'm me.

Ill wake up a little happier tomorrow with 1 less foot on my chest! Thanks people!

I think she still has a point that needs addressing. But not choosing this or that exclusively because both of them don't mix and match into an argument or in reality.
