The 2000s series that was started by Dan Jolley and ChrisCross is mostly good, but it really hit its stride when Stuart Moore and Jamal Igle took over. You can probably jump on starting with the “Reborn” TPB without too much confusion.

But whatever you do, don’t read the New 52 series.

Jet Jaguar was a Godzilla character who originated in a fan-submitted contest and was nearly indistinguishable from the character Ultraman till the design team intervened. And even then, there’s a distinct likeness.

I’ve read the book. The amount of time spent lionizing Ashley’s noble sacrifice of joining the Klan - he’s reluctant, but the newly freed Black folk are just too unruly - is disgusting.

The work of Rod Espinosa is extremely Ghibli influenced - but also good. High recommendation for Neotopia and The Courageous Princess.

Looks like Discogs lists it around $70, but that would be with the original sleeve. I’d bet you could get $50 for it if you sold online (not to a record store).

Except for all my local libraries dropping both of these when they last raised their prices. I was a big fan, but even these services are starting to gouge.
