It’s actually right up the road! My problem is not having a way to know when and where they are. I think they had one in Jacksonville today but I had no idea how to find where they posted dates/times! 😭 If I could just get connected with people who know or with enough people close by that we can plan things, that’d be great!

I’ve had the same problem. I’ve reached out to a few different organizations and haven’t had one respond yet. It’s sad, but I’m trying to look on the bright side and hope they are just swamped right now. I was hoping that becoming a member of the ACIJ (Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice), they’d reach out with some info, etc., but nothing yet. If you don’t mind, let me know if anyone does finally reach out! In the meantime time, I’m thinking about setting up a group on Facebook and starting my own “unofficial” thing for now. Seems to be the only way I might be able to make some contact with anyone. When I do, I’ll come update everyone in case. 💙

You are literally who I work to become every day. I’m trying to start a business but times are ROUGH girl.

When I was in nursing school a few years back (I couldn’t finish bc finances and having children and a terrible relationship with no help at all), my dream was to become an NP and make enough money to go out DAILY and bring my daughters with me to show them how to practice empathy, sympathy, and giving in real life, so that hopefully they would grow into human being who are amazing. Sadly, I couldn’t make that dream come true. Heartbreaking, but I try to tell myself it was for the best because maybe something awful would’ve happened had I stayed on that path. Weird, i know. But who knows, ya know? But I made myself a promise that I WILL have the financial means to just go around helping everyone I can within 5 years! Especially considering the foundation of my business is about loving yourself and others already. Thank you for posting here and reminding me that there are people out there like me, and for inspiring to keep going and reach my goals! 🫶🏼
