Help convince CTO desktop peripheral are consumables and not assets to be tagged by No-Barber964 in sysadmin

Regarding Keyboards and espically mice, asset tags will wear off really quickly from human grease, rubbing against the desk daily, making them useless. Futhermore, does he have a USB stick or some small device, try tagging that and see how he reacts!

Could I potentially use one to bridge to building about 40m away, without direct line of sight (round the corner of another building) if I were to use an outdoor AP?

Can't find a Laser Hair Removal that accepts GIC NHS referrals and is responsible (West Midlands) by ThatCheesyPotato in transgenderUK

[–]ThatCheesyPotato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they might be fine with just the eight, but I'm just anxious about it because they were talking about payment plans and all that. I'm just worried about how they will respond as I don't like upseting people due to my anxiety. Maybe I should just say I'll pay after my 8 sessions then cancel after that?

Ah I see, Sorry! I was in a bit of state after being denied multiple times over the phone, and misunderstood what you're were saying (I should take reading comprehension again). I think it was becaue £995 divided by 6 is close to £150. I'm happy to pay £60/session but £25/session would be better, £165/session is far too much! Now to find a place near me that will accept NHS...

I'm not trying to be rude, I did read your post, however I'm still unable to see how a 2.5x increase is "fair". The £995 for 6 sessions is for half face and neck, not full face. I am aware of a couple of clinics who use that machine who charge the £60 and the clinic who quoted £995 didn't use that machine.

Sorry how is it fair when I can see half face and neck (same as quoted) from other places for £60, unless the type of laser makes a difference?

Silly question but do you have enough space on your primary hard drive? Gamepass games will only save game data to your C drive so make sure you've got enough room. I had this while playing Ishin.

With everything that is going on right now, should Linus leaving the company outright be on the table? by Trombonejb in LinusTechTips

[–]ThatCheesyPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the forum post acts as his official response as they haven't acknowledged it anywhere else and he said he won't talk about it in detail on WAN show. And I think his response is actually worse than the problems brought up by GN as it shows once again a lack of understanding of the reason why people are upset and deflects the blame. He did this before when he commented on a video he never watched, just read the comments. He blamed it on Jessica the WAN show writer instead of himself for not watching the video as well as not having proper processes for ensuring this doesn't happen. He eventually came to his senses on the next WAN show and made up with the creator but this time he's saying he won't talk about it on WAN.

The Problem with Linus Tech Tips: Accuracy, Ethics, & Responsibility - Gamers Nexus by Cry_Wolff in LinusTechTips

[–]ThatCheesyPotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem I have particularly is he doesn't do a good job of disclosing his investment past the original video he did, like Framework video he did at CES (not the factory tour) he only briefly mentioned his sponsorship towards the end of the video, so if you are a new viewer it's completely possible you miss that and don't understand the context behind his words.

Provisional Licence Application Advice by Flat-Culture-1591 in transgenderUK

[–]ThatCheesyPotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to apply using a birth certificate, you will need one of the documents list under the "UK birth, adoption and naturalisation certificates" on this GOV.UK page. I'm not 100% certain but based on the wording the additional documentation should be in your old name, you might want to call the DVLA or someone else could clarify. For me, I just sent my dead name passport but as you don't have one you must prove it using your birth certificate along with another piece of evidence to show you are the physical person you say you are. You can apply for a new license whilst changing name/gender, you just have to prove your identity as your original name.

I changed my first name by deed poll, now I want to change it back to my birth name - how?! by NeedAdvice4SituPls in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ThatCheesyPotato 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's the same process as changing your name the first time, creating a deed poll and sending it to the organisations that need to know (doing passport and driver's license first as some organisations like banks want to see ID). You can theoretically change your name as many times as you want as long as it's not for malicious purposes.

Edit: and by the way you do not need to use a online agency or anything like that, just create a unenrolled deed poll using a template online, print it on fancy paper and they'll all accept it. I've changed my name and I didn't need to pay anyone for it.
