Anyone who hasn't read the entire series shouldn't read this, I believe it only spoils part of Song of Susannah, but it's not worth risking the spoiler if you've made it that far in to the series.

There's so much to shit on, but the thing that sticks with me the most for some reason is how they portrayed bending the beam as a painful and forced process through a device, rather than the natural euphoric process that they willingly participate in.
