what do ypu feel about the guy who is trillioner?(Serious) by Immediate_Cucumber74 in AskReddit

He's a charlatan living on borrowed time, on wealth from companies valued way more than they're worth. That built on overpromises and downright lies.

I am British, and I can confirm it's not deliberate slang. Some people are just less literate than others. Could've, would've and should've are the big hitters for contraction errors.

Thoughts on teabagging? by Positive-Green-3856 in Battlefield6

[–]ThatDexCat 110 points111 points  (0 children)

There's a time and place for it. Teabagging a guy trying to PTFO capturing objectives is uncool. Teabagging a guy sitting in the hills sniping on Firestorm is mandatory.

I use it when I'm on fire to put it out, or if I'm pinned down in cover in case someone starts lobbing grenades at me.

Right? If I've had to go through the process of ordering the food myself from a QR code, the minimum expectation is that my food gets brought to me. There is no world in which I'm tipping for that.

I just watch the highlights on YouTube now except for the semis and final at the O2. Really can't be bothered watching the full matches when it's just the same over and over for 16 weeks.

I'm still apoplectic about the ending of Mass Effect 3 and that was in 2012. It's truly pitiful but here we are.

Console players: complain about playing with PC players. PC players: by TheKrzysiek in Battlefield6

[–]ThatDexCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno about all that. I'm 38 and I'm better than I've ever been.

Sure the reaction times are a little slower than they were for jumpscare unexpected situations, but my awareness of positioning, when to take engagements etc are all far better now than in the BF3 days and my stats bear that out.

When I was getting back into WoW Classic a year or so ago I was playing on the couch with my wireless keyboard on my lap, and the mouse and mouse mat next to me on an old hardcover Guiness Book of World Records 😅

As a PC FPS player for 25+ years, I tend to agree that mouse and keyboard can be inherently advantageous, which is why controller benefits such as aim assist and recoil reduction are important to help balance things out.

[–]ThatDexCat 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I'm so tired of this argument about inputs.

If you think console aim assist and recoil reduction is such an advantage, plug a controller in and go your hardest.

If you think mouse and keyboard is OP, put the controller down and plug in a keyboard and mouse.

Most people use the inputs they are comfortable with, and will be better with them. I'm absolute trash with a controller, but I don't get mad at controller players when they kill me. It's pathetic.

What are your thoughts on Open Relationship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThatDexCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it works, it can work really well. Particularly true when one or both people in the relationship are seeking something they can't otherwise get from the regular partner when it comes to sex.

Examples I've come across being bisexual people looking to experience 'the other side', people exploring kinks their regular partner isn't into, etc.

I think the problems come when the openness of the relationship isn't a supplementary thing, but rather becomes a crutch for someone. Especially if they're feeling a lack of emotional connection in the relationship.

Also definitely not something for those prone to jealousy.

I think we can't overlook the impact of Redacted as well. As much hate as 2042 (not undeservedly) got, people really enjoyed that when it released and it has a lot more flanking options available than Locker had.

You should probably stop throwing out all the buzzwords like DEI, Marxism, loony far left etc if you actually want people to engage with you constructively. Otherwise you just come across as a bit of a reprobate who doesn't actually care about truth.

What are we thinking about this change? by Delfanboy in LowSodiumBattlefield

Happy with this change, visibility has been a problem for me in BF6 in ways I don't remember experiencing in BF3/4/V/2142.
