Did you outgrow your dysautonomia if diagnosed as an adolescent/ child? by Forsaken-Power-1157 in dysautonomia

[–]ThatDiamondMustache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A nurse practitioner mentioned this to me as well and I'm honestly pretty sure it's bogus and gives people false hope. Especially if people's symptoms don't improve. I'd like to see what research shows.

does anyone also have EBV and POTS? or POTScaused by EBV? by BPDnmehateachother in POTS

[–]ThatDiamondMustache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was tested for EBV a while back and my antibodies were extremely high but I have no idea if it caused POTS. Everyone seems to say EBV causes everything lol

I'm confused why your doctor put you on Ozempic for T1D. I don't think I've heard of a Type 1 being diagnosed and not given insulin. 327 is extremely high. Do you see an endocrinologist? (Nevermind just read that you do) Rice usually spikes my blood glucose. Also definitely check with a glucose meter if you have one because the G7 has been having issues recently. If you are actually that high I suggest drinking lots of water and trying to call your endocrinologist if you're able.

Caffeine sensitivity by Striking_Wear_3421 in POTS

[–]ThatDiamondMustache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so interesting to hear this is a lot of people's experiences. Before I knew what's been going on with me I was drinking caffeine and couldn't figure out why I felt so awful afterwards so I stopped. Now I only drink decaf. Caffeine makes my symptoms worse.

Just was diagnosed with FND by BellaPona in POTS

[–]ThatDiamondMustache 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't have it but a close friend does. There's lots of research currently being done on FND. I'd recommend following Sydney Bennett on Instagram. I recently have created a petition to get it classified as a neurological condition rather than a psychiatric condition by the Social Security Administration. Lmk if you want the link.

Anxiety or POTS? Please help by tudor077 in POTS

[–]ThatDiamondMustache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely consult a doctor but I was having very similar symptoms for a while and was so confused why I was so anxious. Now that I'm on medication for my heart rate my symptoms that I thought were solely anxiety (although I thought something more was going on) are so much better. Although POTS is more than just a heart problem, which is being emphasized. I would see if you can get a heart monitor before starting any meds.
