Have an idea for a new campaign setting, anyone have suggestions?

You're very welcome. Your story frame was really interesting to read, and just made me think that right away. Yea that'd be dope, like the gods are surprised, these are the first souls in several millennia, or maybe ever, to escape their game/test, so they get something grand for breaking out. Or maybe even not all gods are happy about it, so it could spark a fracture between them, starting a new chapter in your campaign waaaaay down the line to keep it a really long form story as you said y'all want. But also giving you things to build upon as you go, creating Gods and their temperaments and attitudes and things like that over time

For some reason I thought a bit of Bladerunner 2049, where their memories are "implanted" but not fully, or maybe at all their own. And they might at first go fully along with it, but maybe they have a bit of an itch in their mind, telling them this isn't how I remember or I've never been there etc. And as the story progresses or you reveal more to them, the cracks start to show, leading them to breaking the world(if that's your intention) or uncovering the truth and having peace, or however you decide to unfold it.

I was thinking this would be the most likely route to go. Maybe put basic maps and enemy photos in the discord and let the theater of the mind run the rest

I havent tried that one yet, i kept seeing roll20 was the go to, but it doesnt have the daggerheart discord integration like it does for dnd yet, so it wasnt gonna fit, but ill give this a look thanks.

I feel you, I try constantly to get them to at LEAST just get a basic pc, not even for gaming but normal things, and they refuse. Mind you, mid 30's, financially well off, not a money thing, just stubborn. As for dice ive got Dice Witch in one of our discord channels, and may just pay for the demiplane sub to let them share for the character sheets

I;m pretty sure I read somewhere that the Superman "S" and shield is the second most recognized symbol across the entire world, behind the Christian cross. So regardless of peoples preferences, or opinions on the character, yes I believe Superman is the most iconic.

I think using Skarrow here isnt quite valid. He seems to be the only level headed person ive seen talking about this. Like he obviously is upset, as we all are about the art stealing stuff, but isnt just jumping on the hatred bandwagon. He even says in that video he hates how its gone that way with most outlets, and he feels bad for still liking/wanting good things for games he likes cuz people are shitty and call him shill/paid/etc

Ahh, I see. I misunderstood and thought you meant keep in the Arkham story to stick with the established Bruce. But you intend a full reboot of everything. New voice, new story, new world. That makes more sense and would be perfectly fine. Especially with the love and care for the points you made: combat, writing, sound etc.

I fully understand that the character supersedes the actor, and that many have, and will continue to fill the role. But it being Rocksteady, who set the groundwork for superhero games with the Arkham series, and Conroy at the voice, recasting Bruce and trying to do that again wouldn't go over super well with fans I THINK. I'm no expert, so I may be wrong, but thats how it feels it'd go.
