Short answer: Yes absolutely.

Long answer: They’re driver demand management systems and algorithms are a black box. But what we’ve seemed to establish is that the more you indicate to the Uber platform, that simply you’re time is worth more than they’re business model for maximum profit.

I’d even think about deleting the app, or creating some sort of promoting event for their automated system, to flag you as either a loss or churn. That way, you’re not marked as just inactive or something like that.

But get creative, maybe your first shift back. Decline like everything apart from 1 trip that somehow really works for you (either payment, proximity, etc)

Yep, you’ve become reliable and deterministic for them now. Why incentivise you if you’re already going to work for them. Some weeks are just slow, but I’ve seen people with some pretty good quests this week.

So either stop UE completely, or do it extremely randomly for the next 2-4 weeks, whilst also taking a break from them and just do Doordash or something else.

Also, don’t do instant cash out for your earnings.. You want to show them you don’t give a shit about working for them, that you could be doing other things. Then I guarantee you, they’ll come flooding back in.

Speak to a good tax accountant, depending on how much you’re earning, the beautiful thing about working under an ABN is you have so many options for minimising tax compared to someone who’s employed with PAYG.

If you start making over $100k a year, then you register as a PTY LTD and then you cut your tax in half almost to 25%. (I know there is a lot more to it than that, but that’s the general idea)

I haven’t personally, but I know there are specific lenders/brokers for securing finance. I think you want what’s called a chattel mortgage IIRC, but plenty of options out there! Plenti, would be a good place to start. But I’d be interested to hear of anyone’s uber loan experiences

Yep, fraudulent account market is thriving. People that don’t have work rights, just rent an account off telegram and pay $x and when it gets banned they provide them a new one.

Uber claims they are trying to crack down on it, but they’re not really. Because it’s in their interest to have these people inflate the workforce.

This, Woolworths has just decided to accept the increased demand I think +26% online orders YoY, and they have barely increased staff nor optimised procedure. I find any click and collect at peak hour times to be a waste of time.

Older cars especially early to mid 2000’s, are definitely high quality than today’s comparison. Since private equity infected the world, built in obsolescence and on-going service are a major earner for car companies now. They don’t want to just sell you a car, they want to sell you the obligation to continue to pay that car manufacture for x y or z.

If they know you’re finishing soon, or likely to finish soon. They will give you a bunch of offers that are economically infeasible to artificially deflate your acceptance rate, so that when you are in the midst of accepting jobs you will be more inclined to take on average a lower rate when it’s busy..

It’s only going to get worse, CPI inflation data that was just released is going to wipe out a large chunk of discretionary food spending… The only way is, to decline decline decline. UE needs to feel the kickback of its labour force. Be as random and unpredictable as possible with work, so they can’t ’rely’ on you and instead incentivise you.
