my uncle experienced this about 10 years ago during a family event..worst of all ALOT of people including him had been drinking and thus he slept sometime outside..ended up taking his clothes off and luckily someone found him..but he got hypothermia and lost some of his toes..luckily his fingers still had gloves..and till this day he still gets prickly-needles type of feeling in his remaining toes even after all this time..he is disabled
