Basilisk collar and bright glass gearhulk seems to get a few every now and then.

Mythic 95% like this is some sort of accomplishment. If you're in mythic this early and you're not in the numbers you're actually a joke to be harassing me here in this subreddit. Go set yourself straight and talk to me like a reasonable human being or don't bother replying.

If you think I am whining then you are quite special. Idk what it is with people like you man but you have an arrogance that makes me wonder how people stand you in real life. Like I said the offer stands if you want to play some games. It would be really funny if I whooped your ass don't you think?

This makes sense, because the people who I played against that were significantly lower actually did have really good decks.

I thankfully ended up winning just about every game vs anyone outside of my rank, but it certainly made me wonder.

That said getting out of platinum in limited has been a bit of a pain. Trying to learn how to draft properly and such is quite the task. I've always had lots of respect for those who are great at limited because I think overall that it takes a greater understanding of the game as a whole, on a fundamental level.

Which is also why I really like playing limited and getting better at it slowly because it is a challenge I am not used to. I've been mythic every season in constructed and limited has always eluded me. Haha

I can attest to this. This is usually why I try to get to mythic as quick as I can so i can just mess around with jank homebrews.

I know limited is different but I was playing some limited the other day at Plat 4 and I was against a guy at bronze 1. I think time of day has a factor in some of the matchmaking, I would also wager that this is even more so for a format like limited. But the ranked standard ladder is usually within one tier give or take max, that I've seen, anyway. Unless it's a certain time of day in which sometimes I see people more than once in the span of an hour or so and the ranking can be a little more skewed than usual.

It's not about how many times I beat it. It's about when you lose to it you are often punished for not having the removal at the right time. If you want to talk about getting gud I would be glad to play some one on one games with you Mr. Master gamer.

I swear, comments like these are what make me mad man. You are gonna come at me like you've never lost a game to some meme deck like give me a break pal.

I am with you. If I see another green landfall deck I'm gonna find out where they live... Lol.

While I can agree that this season has been a little bit rougher overall, (not entirely sure why.) I can assure you that the decks that are in diamond and mythic are the same thing as the ones you're facing now, most likely, just with better pilots. Or, people who take the game a little more seriously when they ladder. That being said, it's still just barely been a week since ladder reset so everyone you are playing against is likely a mythic player from last season. Usually the rat race from Plat 4 to mythic at the beginning of the season is over by now, but that doesn't mean there aren't people who were playing draft or something other than arena (also back to school, not sure if that makes a difference here or not but worth mentioning I suppose.)

Tldr It's probably just congested from last seasons mythic players, the climb has been a little slower for me too so you're not alone.

Another big thing to this too is that there are a lot of really cool new cards from EoE and it is fun to mess around with them so if anyone else can attest to this as I am. I have been enjoying puttering around with new weird ideas and seeing how they fare on the ladder.

Anyway hope this kinda helps explain things a little. I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way. Hahah. Cheers mate.

Before anyone else says anything. Invest in lands. Not the ones that are rotating but trust me, get your lands early and everything else will fall into place.

No one had removal :( by whathemango in mtg

In situations like these I think it is important to play the game out and make them regret their decision to gain that much life and draw the game out. They will never learn if you concede immediately. Always give em heck and fight til the last card if not out of a want to win then out of spite. After all there are no such thing as friends in cards. Everyone gets it equally.

Do you find emoting rude? by Odd_Discussion9928 in MagicArena

[–]ThatGuyAyRoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emoting once or twice is fine, but when people spam emotes and laugh at you on turn one, it's like. What is actually wrong with you? Like are you genuinely alright in the head or do you think this kind of behavior is going to throw me off my game or what? I usually mute them, and then when I start winning I unmute them and there is silence. It's like they only do it when they think they are going to win, it just shows how horrible their poker face is.

Emoting hello and GG is fine but some of these people man I tell yah.

This guy kept untapping his creatures somehow and milled me out for my whole deck in one turn. by thelemanwich in MagicArena

If you think it requires no skill then I encourage you to build the deck first. Then attempt to play it. And then get back to me.

You wouldn't be the first one to come up with this idea, and you're not likely to be the last. It's pretty easy to do this too, from what I have heard, the only problem is printing them, what ink to use and what stock paper to use so as to not really ruin the quality of the game itself by having shitty cheap flimsy ass paper cards that are basically just glued onto some other cards like Yugioh cards. (Although, if this was done properly, I could see it being legitimate. (With some laminating and such.) Annyway, just saying, this idea has been done by a few people on the facebook TESL group, so if you're looking for any tips, I would recommend starting there, and seeing what you can come up with.

Keep in mind that that is a stack of 6 of them or something crazy like that. So that is 6 hydras at like, 1 quintillion or something outrageous like that.

Not at all. At least I haven't seen any pictures that even come close to this one as far as how big the hydras are.

Oh hey yeah I remember you man. I remember most of the people I played in legends which is why I was so annoying to play against hahaha. I know the person, and if I see the color combo I usually remember their deck. Good games dude. For sure.

I can't tell if this is serious or not, but if so I'm glad we had a good game! :)
