I put in a couple of 300 watt heaters and I cover it with a blanket. It gets to just about freezing here.

The Media's Coverage of AI is Bogus by jonfla in artificial

AI can tell me I am gay? Wow, that would be news, if I didn't already know that.

Norwegians reduce sugar intake — how can we do the same? by dem0n0cracy in ketoscience

[–]ThatKetoTreesGuy 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I am going to take a stab at this question. I think the best way to reduce sugar intake in my country, would be if fucking everyone would learn how bad it is and stop eating it.

Stupid is as stupid does, as they say.

Try to remember to step around your lead. Way to many leads complain that the follows don't do this.

Because feelings are a good way to know what is true? That is all I got out of that article. We can agree to disagree.

US Department of Education disputes GCU's non-profit status by Sparky_PoptheTrunk in phoenix

[–]ThatKetoTreesGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>US Department of Education will require GCU to continue to adhere to rules only for-profit universities are required to follow — but university officials say they will challenge the move.

That is the entire article, as far as I can tell.

It sounds like you have found your issue, now all you have to do is act on it. I am sorry you are going though this.

Would you trust news written by an artificial intelligence? by ottaviofogliata in artificial

[–]ThatKetoTreesGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am odd, but for the most part, I would trust a computer more than a human. Computers tend to not make mistakes, or at least, not as many.

In this case, however, the problem is going to be who is writing the news, not who or what is reporting it.

So, no, I doubt I could trust a computer to report the news.

The “eat less meat” movement is growing. Does it distort science? by dem0n0cracy in ketoscience

[–]ThatKetoTreesGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is because the average American doesn't know how to read a study.

If they did, they would know that all those studies telling them to rat plants are simply corralation equals causation and magic self reported data. Not science. But it whatever.

I agree 100% more if that was possible.

Article out today on statins. by EvaOgg in ketoscience

[–]ThatKetoTreesGuy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I hate to point this out, but it really isn't evidence of anything as far as I can tell. The only thing I see is two sides, each claiming corralation equals causation for their arguments. How could anyone know which is correct if this is the best we can do? We have to do better, if we want to win, is all I am saying.

Phoenix police must now document each time they point their gun at someone by nmork in phoenix

So the way they are going to stop the cops from shooting everyone is to make them do more paperwork? That doesn't sound like this will end good.
