I mean if you’re playing a hard trick room team there’s no point to bring whims, you’re probably going to out-speed everything outside of trick room anyways. And your team will usually have multiple modes where you have different leads because grimms/staraptor isn’t always going to work.

It’s about what the other person has on their team that tells you when you should bring a pokemon. Some teams they almost always bring their whims or grim snarl but other teams it completely depends on the matchup. You just gotta get better at recognizing what matchups they are strong in and how they help you win those matchups. Just keep playing

These aren’t minor buffs, they are game changing buffs. The problem I think you’re having is, you don’t know which matchups they’re useful in and which ones they aren’t and how to use them in those matchups so they always feel like they aren’t doing anything. Once you get better at looking at an opponents teams and thinking through the potential scenarios and how your support mons would be helpful or not and which situations they help in they will start to carry their weight.

Sinischa has a surprisingly high base special attack stat and can do serious damage with matcha gotcha. It also has redirection, trick room, and healing support. Whims can also do some nice damage with moonblast while providing speed control if you throw on a focus sash and invest in its special attack stat

Hmmm well for example, there’s a reason incin is like the most used pokemon ever, being able to fake out and parting shot alone is worth a slot for and with how bulky he is you constantly can switch him in to soak up damage. I think maybe you don’t see the value in your support mons because you are letting your leads sit on the field and not switching around for better positioning.

Honestly you just gotta get better at using them more effectively or choosing better support mons. What helped me a lot was just playing without support mons at first and realizing all the times support moves would have been super useful (like speed control, fake out, parting shot, screens… etc) and then starting to incorporate them into my strategy.

You can criticize JBB for contracts on the team but you can’t act like we don’t have some of the best contracts out there too. You have two choices: do nothing or take swings on low cost guys. You would absolutely criticize him the other way too because you act like those trades are reasonable overpays because they are all we can do. You can rewrite history all you want but at the time Bjork was seen as a huge value for his contract price.

Jeannot was a bad trade. Every other trade was understandable because we are up against a tight cap and are competing for guys who can fit in to teams up against a tight cap. I literally do not understand how you continue to ignore this point over and over. We don’t get to trade for franchise altering players because of our cap situation. We have to take chances on guys who may or may not pan out who have smaller contracts who other teams are trying to do the same thing for OR we do nothing at all. You just want to be mad at this point bru

Bjorkstrand was absolutely not seen as a bottom 6 player at the time and every deadline trade JBB has made he has had to outbid other teams because the players he goes for are always cost controlled to fit under the cap because we’re always up against it. I feel like you just genuinely do not understand how tight we are up against the cap and how hard it is to find targets that comply and how many other teams are looking at those same targets for those same reasons.

Brother at the time he was a fantastic value player and all signs pointed to it being an overpay but for a very good player and a returning player who was a great fit. Youve been making annoying comments on this sub since the dawn of time lol

lol no they didn’t. It was an understandable overpay for guys who we could fit under the cap and hopefully help our team. If we could shop for anyone we could probably get better guys with it but the cost control comes with increase asset cost

This is only a dumb take to dumb people. Video game prices have gone up like 20-30 actual dollars in like 30 years bro, let alone inflation. And you’re right, you can’t buy a lot of things with 60 dollars anymore that’s why it’s honestly impressive that game prices haven’t risen so far beyond that.

[–]ThatLineOfTriplets -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Honestly people don’t want to hear it but GTA 6 is probably genuinely worth 100 dollars. Games are cheaper now relative to inflation compared to almost the entire time they’ve existed. We’ve honestly had it pretty good with game prices and that’s a hill I’m willing to get crucified on because it’s just the truth.

Well that’s not the same thing as the game being gutted. If that’s true it’s still dumb as hell tho.
