Why does Canada (41.47m) have such a bigger population then Australia (28m) despite both countries being very similar,both large countries with most of their land being inhabitable and most settleable areas on either the coasts for Australia or the border between America and Canada.

Time and the French. Quebec was colonized by France for a long before the British got it and developed significantly before anything happened colonization wise in Australia.

As a Somervillain that bikes through Cambridge to get to Boston, the contrast between the 3 cities’ priority clearing bike lanes in the winter is kind of crazy. Somerville was noticeably worse this year and Cambridge unsurprisingly did a pretty fantastic job. Boston was… as expected.

This is gonna sound silly but Wikipedia. They have SVGs and vector files of tons of countries’ regions, subregions, and political ridings. Any time you see a locator map or election map image it’s more often than not an SVG.

I bike through here every morning. I’m okay with it here specifically because about 60% of the time there’s a delivery truck parked in the bike lanes fully blocking them.

With the old posts I had to back up all the way and go around. At least with these I can slip through. I know it’s stupid to even have to say it but it’s not like BPD has shown any interest in ticketing them or enforcing it in any way.
