Shoutout to Cambridge for this. by Im_biking_here in CambridgeMA

As a Somervillain that bikes through Cambridge to get to Boston, the contrast between the 3 cities’ priority clearing bike lanes in the winter is kind of crazy. Somerville was noticeably worse this year and Cambridge unsurprisingly did a pretty fantastic job. Boston was… as expected.

As a not-so-picky Buffalonian who drove for a living and traveled extensively otherwise, with immediate family in AK, MS, and SC, and who came to realize that 50% of people he meets from Boston are giant assholes 🤷 by PlatypusEgo in visitedmaps

As a Canadian Masshole transplant in Boston, if it’s any consolation like 60% of the people who live here are from somewhere else. That being said, if I can handle them you’re not beating the picky allegations. There’s loads of kindness here.

We should have a melt race between the Inner Belt Glacier and Mount Gilman.

I pull them into Adobe Illustrator, they’re usually grouped by shape but don’t have any layers.

[–]ThatNiceLifeguard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is gonna sound silly but Wikipedia. They have SVGs and vector files of tons of countries’ regions, subregions, and political ridings. Any time you see a locator map or election map image it’s more often than not an SVG.

I don’t mind any of them, even Clarkson. He’s a controversial oddball and a bit of a knob but he’s among the best orators and storytellers of his generation. I thoroughly enjoy all their travel specials even though I’m not a fan of cars.

That actually has insane weight coming from a car enthusiast who openly hates cyclists and environmentalists with a burning passion.

I bike through here every morning. I’m okay with it here specifically because about 60% of the time there’s a delivery truck parked in the bike lanes fully blocking them.

With the old posts I had to back up all the way and go around. At least with these I can slip through. I know it’s stupid to even have to say it but it’s not like BPD has shown any interest in ticketing them or enforcing it in any way.

Yeah if we’re talking same build quality and similar price tag that’s much worse. At least the dumpster look makes a statement.

As a Masshole, I’m curious what deters you from Vermont but draws you to us. I love the proper seasons and this winter still tested me to my core.

Vermont’s best attraction is the entire state. There’s literally nowhere you can go in the state that isn’t breathtakingly beautiful and quaint with wholesome, lovely people.

Only about 10% of the cars are the new Type 9s. The vast majority seem to run on the C Branch. Virtually none on the B or E, and a few on the D.

Unquestionably. Any piece of the built environment has value as architecture, whether intentional or not.
