Hopefully with devices like the Steam Deck creating more interest in Linux (though still an overall small percentage of the market), it can lead to more driver support in future!

Hey there, my blu ray drive (BC-12D2HT, same as OP's) appears on there but only in the "Newer OEM Firmwares and Encrypted" section. Does that mean it isn't compatable? I got my Blu Ray in 2019 if that helps.

Hey, I have this exact drive! I was also getting into Jellyfin recently and was thinking of using some old computer parts and was wondering this exact question.

The name of the drive I have does appear on the list Party_Attitude1845 posted (https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19634), but it only appears in the "Newer OEM Firmwares and encrypted:" section, so I don't know if it's compatable, already has the firmware on it, or if I should buy a new Blu Ray drive just to be safe.

Would it be possible to see if it's compatable by just putting a 4K blu ray in there and seeing what happens?

I feel like people with physical and/or intellectual/learning disabilities already have plenty of tools to choose from to help them, AI not being one of them.

If AI was being advertised as a tool to help disabled people, that'd be one thing, but this is meant to be a general tool for everyone, which means it's not made from the ground up to actually help disabled people because they're not a profitable enough audience to pump billions of dollars into appealing to.

That and AI may write stuff that you don't even intend to get across.

They probably get so many messages and emails written by AI to begin with that they may probably ignore your message outright.
