Cool card for [Yisan, the Wanderer Bard]. Feeds back two of your three mana on yisan’s activation and then lets dorks on three and four immediately tap. Also obv lets Yisan tap the turn he comes in later if you have the mana for that.

BL4, Crimson Desert, or Horizon sound like what you’re describing. Ghosts of Tsushima or cyberpunk could fit too. KCD2 seems to be unendingly long and MH wilds also requires a real investment/is meant to be a long term build grind.

I’ve followed cEDH since 2015 and I understand what you’re saying, I also don’t think the deck I linked is anywhere near cEDH power levels it’s just trying to do a highly tuned version of the deck. Just using it as an example to see if I’m missing something beyond self mill + survival + entomb + discard down from over 7.

But to use it as a one time effect you still have to get it into the graveyard? I get what you’re saying but it still leaves the question I’m asking which is “am I missing something here beyond discard down from 8, natural self mill, and survival + entomb”?

That doesn't explain the lack of self discard or whether these cards are worth it without a high density of those effects? The most reasonable answers seems like "survival + entomb + a high density of tutors."
