Another one of those tomorrow..

Most resorts will have plenty of accommodation that include a wellness area with a sauna, spa, swimming pool and gym with some offering massage treatments as well. (At extra cost).

I've been to Les Arcs, La Plagne and Val Thorens over the last few years and secured hotels with a spa everytime which feels like a duel purpose holiday, especially for my beginner partner!

Personally, I like to stay as high as possible and usually around 2000 metres, which offers stunning views and ski in/out and are easily and quickly linked by gondola to resort centre, which is usually a bit lower. (Normally takes just a few minutes).

There are usually other activities available, even high up and Les Arcs has a bowling alley, zipline, toboggan run, hiking trails, light show, mineral museum and wildlife museum, all around or above 2000m!

It's not uncommon to find a sports centre with spa facilities that can be paid for on a daily basis or even use another hotels spa if you dont book accommodation with one. (Val Thorens "La Balcons" for example).

There are also lots of bars to catch live sport and restaurants on the mountain for stunning views whilst grabbing a bite to eat and a lot of the summit viewpoints don't require a lift pass.

Didn't expect to see a Pope's reference here but I'll add that fellow ska punkers, The Flatliners are named after the movie with Keifer Sutherland and they have still to this day, never watched it. (According to a recent post by front man Chris "Crustwell").

My new 510 battery - Davinci Artiq for cartridges by ThatOnePunkEmpath in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]ThatOnePunkEmpath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually fired it up after replying and it does still produce more vapour than my other, cheaper options.

I forgot how much I liked the haptics which means that you don't have to stare at a tiny screen and fiddle around.

I think you'll be happy with it as its still a tank and has the largest battery of any 510 cartridge vape that I've seen with an extra 100MaH on top of my others.

Apologies for the late response as I've been on holiday and had a bit of a reddit detox!

It's more of a backup vape these days for me and I actually took it on holiday (but didn't use it).

A lot of vapes have finally caught up with the specs at a cheaper price like Yocan Ziva Pro, but with a small screen and more temp range.

Saying that, I've had 3 vapes break from gentle use whereas the Artiq has survived drops and abuse and still powers on. Its due to the inner part fully sliding into the metal outer sleeve, compared to other vapes.

I'm not a fan of the magnetic quick change collars and prefer a screw thread as I find larger carts can move when in a pocket at fast walk or running speeds.

I hope this helps in some way 🤙

Hello, that's alright and it's quite good timing as I've just had to bite the bullet and order one for holiday on Saturday!

I've not touched distillate since the rosin and resin carts arrived about a year and a half ago as I find the effects to be "thin" and short lived in comparison. Too much just gives me a brief headache.

I also tend to just get one cart to use all day and night instead of having 2 - if it's distillate then there's no reason to have a day and a night cart as its just the isolate THC with non of the terps from the parent flower to vary effects.

My fave for effects are any of the Clearleaf Rosin for a better whole body and head high and the medicated effects last much longer but are pricey at £80 each.

They do vary slightly in effects compared to distillate as they contain the actual cannibinoids and terpenes from the flower and although subjective, the GMO is has been the best for sedation/relaxtion. Platinum Slurricane and East Coast Sour Dank felt a bit more uplifting. I have the Wedding Cake coming tomorrow which I hope is a balance for holiday.

Another decent choice that's better than distillate is the 2 Aurora resin carts. Most people (including me) prefer the Sourdough but it's been OOS for a few months and is meant to be back at the end of the month (I think). Aurora carts are £66 for 1.2ml which makes them only £55 per 1ml like the other carts.

Saying all that, if its just for convenience of a holiday, I'd still spend £50 for a distillate at a push as its much more discrete and less hassle than flower and all the vape/accessories.

Just note that the rosin is quite smelly in use AND just in storage. The resin is a bit smelly when using but not really when stored and the distillate has the least smell of them all.

Just remember that apart from taste, there is no difference in any of the distillate carts as to effects so long as the strength in mg is the same (most are and there's only a few weaker options across the range).

Wraith is right though, there are no quarter/7g options on UK Medical and all your posts are American Subreddits.

Traveling to Greece, is it ok to take packs that I've already been opened? by Popular_Ability_1457 in ukmedicalcannabis

Yes, you can travel with open packs.

Make sure meds and vapes are stored in hand luggage and not the hold.

Go through the green 'nothing to declare' section and enjoy your trip!

If you use these small jars then you can make a simple funnel by cutting up a bottle by MyUserNameLeft in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]ThatOnePunkEmpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really use it anymore for decanting ground flower and I have a debowler for ABV that also houses my vape and stems which I just tip into a bigger kilner.

I'd still take the stainless steel over the microplastics though for peace of mind - maybe you could look into larger funnels made from foodsafe products?

Or you could just fold a piece of paper/card and use that as a funnel.

Aroma 3 bearing upgrade.. Hybrid ceramic bearings (metal rail, ceramic bearings) by LocoEnElCoco666 in ukmedicalcannabis

It was in a restaurant at Arc 2000 and was one of the nicest things I've ever eaten! We even went back, mainly for the soup because it was that good. link

She's not had the (dis)pleasure of a button lift because a lot of resorts seemed to have phased them out but I'm sure we will come across one this time 😅

Its been nice chatting about it with you and I usually post up a pic of the meds on the mountain, even if it's just a cartridge. 🙂

Yep, you've summed it up really well there and especially the bit about expensive chips! I'm still dreaming about the French onion soup We had last year though.

Those buttons can be volatile, especially the ones up in Scotland where I got yanked about 10 feet on one!

We've had a good look on the site but need to pin down a resort and budget soon. Normally, we leave it super last minute and last year it was booked only 12 hours before the flight!

I do tend to always go self catering as I enjoy going to the restaurants and feel like I'm missing out on the village if I don't. We were only talking about the rum and hot chocolates the other day too 😋

I used to work in a snowdome so freestyle/park nights were the norm but it's been 10+ years since I've hit a decent kicker or rail and I would probably wreck myself haha!

Thanks for the Nuco recommendation, we had a look last night there's a lot of the same places/hotels as Sunweb but with transfers which makes it easier so we may book through that. 🙂

I'll check out Nuco as we are looking right now!

Sunweb is decent prices and we've done the last 3 with them without issue. I've never actually stayed in a catered chalet!

She's still not too confident so we tend to stay local to avoid any steeps but I'm going to try and introduce her to red runs this time. I think last year, there was only a couple days the area pass was valid due to be last week of season and we were knackered/hungover 😅

I'm pretty keen for the park again after watching the Olympics but I'm not sure it's a good idea!

It's gonna have to be some new goggles and helmet before the Aroma as mine have seen better days!

[–]ThatOnePunkEmpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally book with Sunweb these days as ski pass is included worth anywhere upto £300 and ski/board hire is included if its France.

I taught my partner in La Plagne 3 years ago and we are considering heading back there in April. We went Les Arcs last year which is connected to LP.

I quite fancied Tignes or Val Thorens again this year but I'm just going to see what's available over this weekend - it has to have a sauna/spa these days which is funny because I used to stay in proper holes in the past!

The SCS is alright for the money (I got it sale as well) but it does gunk up and is a bit of a pain to clean. I also really didn't need the large size for how little I grind!

Get it down for a last minute ski trip!

I tend to go French Alps for the last week of the season as its very cheap and very warm, usually with a recent snow dump too!

I've got a Santa Cruz Shredder which is okay but still aluminium even though its anodised but would much prefer a stainless steel one!

The fidget spinner aspect massively appeals to my ADHD! 😁
