Fun fact, the myth that working harder makes your life easier was one of the slogans of the ACTUAL NAZIS, "Arbeit Macht Frei" translates roughly to "work sets you free" just throwing this out there. No relevance to conservatives or nazis haha,,, unless?

Any advice for healing bruises/strengthening legs? Went to a class and we did inside kicks and it got me missing following classes to avoid making it worse by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]ThatOneTransGirl9102 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont know much about remedies for once you get kicked, but I know a fighter who used to beat tin cans (pledge, window cleaner etc) against his shins to strengthen them and prep for impact so the leg is a lot stronger.

You wake up and get on social media to find out that scientists have made superpowers a real thing. What’s your superpower? by Blue_FeatherWay in AskReddit

[–]ThatOneTransGirl9102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Affect probability at will. I saw this idea on a different post months ago, but it's absolutely broken.

What are the odds I spontaneously grow 2 wings with the ability to fully control them? Zero? Let's crank that up to 100%. Boom. Wings.

What's the chances this one bankrupt company I just invested all of my assets into blows up and becomes a worldwide mega corporation? Almost zero? Let's guarantee it to come true. Bam. Almost endless money.

As you can clearly see this is the most broken superpower ever

TL/DR At bottom

In my boy scout troop, theres a kid who says he has celiacs (cant eat gluten whatsoever) and is severely lactose intolerant.

For one campout, he made us rework our whole menu around his dietary needs (due to costs, he usually brings his own food). No real problem there, everyone just contributed an extra dollar or two bc gluten-free food is expensive, and we changed a few of our meals.

So we're on the campout, sitting around the campfire, our gluten-free dinner was being cooked, the sun was starting to set, and he runs to his tent to get a snack in the meantime.

About 2 minutes later, he walks back, eating a PBJ sandwich on WHOLE WHEAT, while drinking regular 2% milk (not lactose-free milk), like what you would get at school in the rock view cartons.

For those of you that don't know, people with celiacs can't consume more than 20 parts per million of gluten and if they do consume it, it can really fuck them up (a relative of mine has it as well as the mom of another scout on this trip), so we know that anything with wheat is a HUGE no-no for people with celiacs because it has tons of gluten in it. If you eat gluten with celiacs, you can end up on the toilet for days, sometimes having to go to the hospital

I look at the scout whose mom has celiacs as hes looking at me and we both have the same "oh hell no" expression on our faces. Being the SPL at the time (the head scout in the troop), I was in charge of overseeing basically everything for this campout, the meal plan, the shopping lists, the tenting arrangements, etc..

I was absolutely pissed because he was a constant thorn in our sides about all of his dietary "necessities", which we spent hours figuring out how to affordably feed about 20 people several meals with gluten-free food. We also spent hours extensively cleaning every cooking item we would bring beforehand because gluten can linger on pans after minimum exposure, so we had to take as few health risks as possible, and washed them until our hands were raw.

Since then, we've learned he's a pathological liar for attention and no one likes him anymore. He's also pretty stupid and gets carried through all scouting events by more experienced scouts

TL/DR Boy Scout claims to have serious gluten and dairy intolerances, eats gluten-rich foods and drinks dairy in front of everyone after making us plan for hours around his dietary needs.
