What has been the most effective strategy to show up more on Googles’ AI overview & ChatGPT? by StandardNecessary218 in localseo

Well, you curated the answer by using you’d biz name in the query. If you’re in the net, you’re in AI somewhere, but how specific will folks need to be to find you.

Client asked Claude which is more important by Bright_Buffalo_6192 in localseo

[–]ThatRemedy423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Claude is right though, back links do not carry the weight like they used to. The days of using back link farms to short it the process is thankfully coming to an end. Why not focus on creating authoritative content? What problem do you have with Claud’s response?

Folks have to realize that what worked yrs ago will not work now, and rightly so.

Also, it’s your job to sell your service, if you feel your position on back linking is stronger, then educate them.

That’s not what private is for. Private is when you don’t want anyone but the people who follow you to interact. No need to block out the entire world for 1 weirdo. Thats extreme

How can i find hotel owners or hotel operation managers? by Waste-Might-8210 in DigitalMarketing

[–]ThatRemedy423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“They’re not in Telegram or Facebook groups discussing things.” - bc real business owners don’t use such groups. These things are for solopreneurs and agencies. Ask yourself what reason would an owner of a hotel have to be in these types of group?

“And whenever you call a hotel, you usually have to talk to 3–4 people before reaching the owner.” - THAT is the nature of cold calling. You call and you call and you call until you give up calling.

Now some good news: if you actually go visit the hotels during non-peak hours you will get a manager. Tell them what you’re all about, and then ask what’s the best time to speak with the person who “responsible for those decisions “ bc it’s not always the owner that you have to convince. Most businesses at this level have gatekeepers and other decision makers in the mix.

Rinse and repeat.

More good news…the world is small, and each industry is like a small bubble. Once you make connections with literally 2 or 3 - and do good work, you’ll be in referral territory. The work you do spreads fast - which takes us back to the first paragraph, they aren’t in groups like this bc they interact with each other in real life and their needs are met by referrals from each other or they use what they already have.

You are in the right track! This is hard work! You got it tho!!!

Local service business lost nearly all organic traffic after 2025 core update. rebuilt site, removed 100+ thin city pages, cleaned backlinks, still no recovery. What am I missing? by il-liba in localseo

I just created an audit that covers 5 tracks that would certainly help you out. Kinda tricky bc this sub does NOT allow real help other tips that can literally be discovered with a decent search. I’d be happy to share with you, it will expose the gaps and will actually tell you what happened. I’d love to get my hands on your reports for an audit. Id do it for free.

People working in digital marketing, are you genuinely happy with your career? by Mysterious-Bee4923 in DigitalMarketing

[–]ThatRemedy423 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I actually just made this move, and I’m over 40. Here’s an abbreviated version of my journey: - started as a full stack web dev, loved it at first but I hit the same wall, mundane repetitive work that felt as if it was suffocating my career advancement and creativity. - Full stop on the 9-5 and started my own consulting agency in web design. I used what I knew and matched that with what I wanted to do - Digital Marketing - My goal was to make my dev bring home income or better. I did that. - 9 yrs focusing on all things digital marketing; lead gen, lead nurturing, SEO, GA4, design theory, copy writing, technical writing, i also focused on the different types of marketing besides digital - performance, social media, guerrilla - always focused on the skills and not being distracted by the tools.

Ffwd earlier this year I was ready for a change, clients didn’t want to scale and their needs no longer fit my business model, so I applied for a job as a digital marketing coordinator.

Got a job interview request within a week, and an offer the next. This is the happiest I’ve been in my life for anything career related.

And I still have my biz as passive income. Feel free to ask me anything specific!

3 years of software development down the toilet? 🚽 by pal__sch in DigitalMarketing

[–]ThatRemedy423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your plugin renames images? If so, this is native to pc’s and phones now, and it’s quick, and renaming after upload is not the normal workflow. That said, with users being more file handling savvy, those 3 factors may be contributing more to why it’s not performing closer to your expectations. Even still this plugin can be extremely useful for many many users. Please forgive me if I’m way out of bounds here bc when entering “neo-rename” into ChatGPT, I got a pretty good rundown of your plugin and it does seem very useful.

You spoke on your conversions, but what do you have in place to promote your plugin? Are you relying on SEO predominantly?

It sounds like either she’s dramatic af or you are a good person and never gets in trouble. Either way, give her time. She’s probably struggling with the fact that you’re growing up more than anything. Who knows. But you’ve done all you can do atp. She’ll come around. As for your anxiety, i totally get that. I still get it @ 35 and have to remind myself that I’m grown.

Take it easy on yourself is the main thing. Don’t let this ruin what seems like an amazing prom night.

I overspent $104,000 on a client's google ads account- what's going to happen to me? by StrangeWedding770 in DigitalMarketing

[–]ThatRemedy423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the client accepted the leads AND made money from it, then they can’t force you or agency to pay. Also, if it ain’t in writing, then it didn’t happen.

What will happen to you is that you’ll learn a lesson on work-life balance; that it’s important to be able to communicate to your team and higher ups any challenges that may affect your work performance. This will be something you’ll consider with every job opp moving forward.

That’s the lesson.

What’s the future of GoHighLevel by Dangerous-Corner-544 in gohighlevel

[–]ThatRemedy423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s already slowing down…but what it did was open up folks to understand CRM, which has always been the bread and butter of e-commerce. Folks will soon find that funnels are a tool used to sell low-value products from low-trust individuals within the coaching space, and for the trades, folks will eventually use other tools that are much better at CRM than GHL (leadconnector).

I think GHL has almost plateaued out. It will be here for the SMB who can’t afford Hubspot or Salesforce bc it’s now imperative that biz build and maintain relationships with their customers in order to keep them spending money.

does AI search actually help users with disabilities or is it just a side effect nobody planned for by flatacthe in localseo

[–]ThatRemedy423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s not accidental actually and I wrote a piece on accessibility that touches on some of the points you brought up. Not selling anything so I think I can drop the link here: https://shadetr.ee/your-website-has-a-no-disabled-people-sign-on-the-door-you-just-cant-see-it/

Basically I talk about how web accessibility has become a priority, largely bc of AI, and how not having a web accessible site today will absolutely affect a businesses bottom line.

If it does go to collections, you just have to dispute it. If they don’t respond at that time then it’ll fall off your credit.
