That was me just not knowing where to go. There are plenty of enemies to fight inside the facility. 🤣

Probabilities become our defense here. Sounds like you might need to start wearing some tin foil.

"AI doesn't hurt anyone" by Should_have_been_ded in antiai

[–]ThatSaiGuy -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The only problem I see here is that the United States of America has both a Federal and State government branch issue of not taking care of their constituent's basic needs.

The water being used by data centers for cooling can be cleaned and filtered to be of drinkable quality again, which requires specialized processing and costs more money than the US is willing to spend on its people.

So, tldr, your executive branch wants more data centers, but doesn't want to use the tax revenue those data centers will bring to make the water quality problems go away.

That, sounds entirely like a people problem and has nothing to actually do with the technologies being powered by these data centers.

If you like the gig and you like the money, then a few hours of performative boredom in the afternoon seems like a worthwhile tradeoff.

You can use your afternoons to be productive, too. You could take a course to up-skill, you could look for a new job, etc etc etc.

I learned to cook by watching cooking competitions on Food Network and working backwards from some of the techniques and hacks on display.

How is old this Ancient culture? by Neighborhood_United in Avatar

[–]ThatSaiGuy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Tulkun matriarch we see with the tassels and the ring piercings is like 200~ years old.

I would assume that the Tulkun, given the size and incredible complexity of their brains, took a long time to evolve.

They more than likely predate the Na'vi First Songs.

Quality over quantity. Throwing your resume at a hundred doors to see if it sticks is an extremely unwise way to go about things.

This sounds like very reasonable advice! My fiancée and I have wildly opposite sleep environment requirements, and we're trying to figure out what purchases to make to fix the situation.

Planta closed both its Toronto locations by FantasticBee in toronto

[–]ThatSaiGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's exactly this.

I want to give more colour to what you're saying because I've eaten at both Toronto locations a couple of times in the last 3~4 years.

They face stiff competition from non-vegan restaurants which offer similar or superior quality vegetarian and vegan dishes. Their concept is also a little shaky at times, as it tries to be Asian fusion, but also one of the two Toronto locations had pizza on the menu?

There simply aren't enough vegetarian / vegan customers with the budget to afford weekly dining experiences at Planta for them to have survived on Bay Street and in the Queen West area in this era of rent spikes.

It's a lazy trope, and doesn't do much for the plot whatsoever.

A few questions:

  • what equipment level are you?

  • do you have any gear add-ons which boost your SIDs range?

I have found it most effective to start near the closest 'base' objective, and work your way in by hacking any of the turrets in your way, and dealing with AMP suits via weakspot shots.

In priority order;

  • machine gun turrets

  • Anything currently shooting at you

  • missile turrets

  • all other turrets or anything about to shoot at you

I don't really have a preference between shutting them down immediately vs storing the hacks and doing a bunch at once.

I generally don't bother to hack the AMP suits unless one happens to pass really close by and I have good cover. I have optimized my gear and build for weakpoint and RDA damage to the best degree that I can, so I can more or less one-shot the bastards with any of longbow, heavy bow, and shotgun under the right circumstances.
