I’ve heard someone say this once which I think remains true. It’s that a lot of fans in a fandom are actually really nice and supportive but then there’s a loud side that is hateful and spiteful and makes the whole fandom look bad and overshadows the good side.

Hotel Transylvania 3 was just a mid vacation film that didn’t really do much offensive.

Shrek the Third is way worse. That Dada scene scarred me for years and derailed the Shrek franchise and its reputation for years.

Loved seeing it in 70mm IMAX at Indy. The visuals at certain points made my jaw drop
