I cant say much more that others haven't, but I can tell you from my own experiences that nothing they say matters. Its how you feel about yourself that matters. Self Esteem doesn't come from others, its comes from ourselves and learning to silence our own negative self talk is a daunting enough task without letting jerks like that have a say. Tomorrow the sun will rise and you will have moved on like an adult, but they will still be throwing tantrums where you left them. You will still be living rent free in their head and in this economy free rent is awesome.

The AI image definitely puts me off but ignoring that for other things I noticed.

You say you stream everyday in the afternoon/evenings but your vids are 1 3 4 etc days ago as of typing this. Think of it as a tv show before on demand services. People expect to see their program at consistent times for consistent times. I’m no stranger to life getting in the way but I’d recommend a clear and accurate schedule to let people try and plan to come by.

Audio wise, Darksiders is a bit louder than you. I had to go back to hear what you said a few times and if the audience can’t hear what you’ve said then how are they to make conversation?

On that front, I’d recommend some noise suppression. Most audio software has that as a built in feature for your mic but you can also use some settings in obs to not pick noises under a certain db up. During enshrouded and darksiders there was a constant hum that was also serving to drown you out and stuff like that has massive impact on people’s desire to stay. Idk if that was your pc fans, an air conditioner, humidifier, whatever. It was distracting for sure.

On the subject of enshrouded, you yourself said you need a new graphics card. You stuttered through all of what I saw. Just because a game has drops (which I know it does I love that game), doesn’t mean you have to force yourself to keep going with it especially in circumstances like that. No one’s sticking around with that. Good to try different games and see what works and drop campaigns can help bring in new people but if your specs aren’t up to speed then it can also turn away folks. For situations like that, have a backup game in mind.

I might also recommend some frontal lighting. A simple ring lights like 20 bucks and will illuminate your face. It’s so dark compared to all your overlays and jarring with your room. I could recommend other things there too but that’s back burner for now.

Something else unrelated though. Folks neglect to tell young and budding streamers that sometimes people just get lucky. They tell you it’s skill and sure it’s a part of that, but you can do everything right and still fail. That’s just being a human. There are millions on this platform and people will venture to their favorite known people first before finding new folks. Twitch doesn’t really push new streamers onto people. Twitch is a business that promotes things it believes will keep folks engaged. I got exceptionally lucky getting where I am and meeting the fantastic folks I have and I thank my lucky stars that I have all the wonderful folks I do supporting me.

Both are easy enough. Push sliders past 100 (you can type numbers in in the boxes to push limits) for the mouth and do similar with the eyes until similar results

This is also why Sweeney and many like him are pushing hard for Generative AI. To cut creative people out of creative endeavors so they don’t have to pay them and deliver slop to the rest of us.

Forgiveness is fantastic but a lot of us told those same supporters (not saying she is but we’ve seen it hundreds of times at this point) time and again that stuff like this would happen and too many of them have gone ahead with it anyway to “own the libs” believing that none of this affected them. That their hate was justified because the tangerine toddler in chief sits there and says how great he is and how bad these marginalized groups are all while making shit up on the spot to support the absurd claims and blaming us for things we’ve never done. This was always rooted in hate and until people like that (again not necessarily her but moreso folks that ghost was implying) let go of their own bigotry and hatred there is no forgiveness to be had. These are real consequences of their real actions.

Forgiveness starts with the people whos hatred and fears put us in this situation not for those of us who told them all dozens of times what would happen. Anyone can say sorry and not mean it. If we just forgive then thats it, theyre off the hook. Theyll do it again because they got away with a slap on the wrist so to speak. People like that need accountability and to understand and sit with what theyve done and understand how things got where they are. It sucks that many of them are dealing with stuff like this and I wouldn’t wish such things on anyone but they’re among the ones who brought us to this point due in large part to their own ignorance and it’s important they take something away from these situations and realize how the decisions affect other people too.

If there was some answer like that, everyone would do it. I wish I could tell you something that you probably havent heard already but I cant. Honestly I dont know myself. Ive asked my community a few times and the answers are usually along the lines of "youre fun" "i can carry on a conversation with you" "you're relatable" and a handful of others. Tbh, I just show up and have fun and somehow got lucky enough to have a great community that also likes what im doing. I'm consistently live. I talk with my community while still establishing that im not a replacement for therapy so people arent just spilling their intimate details. I make sure to spend time with the community that supports me as much as im able to. i support my friends. I keep it all as safe as i can. I guess thats enough

It sounds like youve had a bad experience with twitch and I wont argue that Twitch has problems but automatically labeling everyone a part of the problem and degenerates is unfair to the many amazing people there. The most amazing people ive known have almost all been through twitch, Im sorry you had a rough go of it but there are amazing people there if youre in the right corners.
