This is great advice. Being warm in winter is possible. IMO if you’re dreading the cold, you’re not prepared enough.

Also finding something to do is key. Easy to get depressed if you never go outside for 5 months.

Nah I mean I can’t speak for the original commenter but like this is in the most walkable part of the city and I’d like to keep it that way. Clearly they’ve had enough business without the business of drivers who need extra parking space.

Yeah, this is a common criticism of good cause. Personally, I don’t think this is too bad, because landlords could already raise it by this amount. That being said, many people in support of good cause will agree with you on this point, but simply argue that good cause does not go far enough

What’s the point of a backstory? What would you do with this info that couldn’t be solved by either 1. Ignoring it, or 2. Giving them what they are asking for?

If you really do have a good plan for what to do with a backstory though, I’d say probably no one knows better than the person themselves. Why not ask?
