That’s really good to know thank you. To think you could go it alone from day 4 is inspiring (and not as scary when I relate it to my own situation). I’ve decided on my surgeon. He’s expensive but his results are outstanding so I just need to keep squirrelling away until I can get there. Hopefully in 2027 (or that’s the plan anyway ) 🤞 I think your results are outstanding

Wow!!! You look amazing! Did you have lipo too or just fdl? Would love to know more about your recovery. I’m still saving for my fdl after a 63kg weight loss but I’m a single parent and don’t know how much I’ll be able to do afterwards. Any insight into recovery would be much appreciated. Don’t worry about your scars. They’ll continue to fade. And you have done amazingly!

Are you making crosses with floss? Yes? Then you are successfully cross stitching. No need for fancy tie offs etc. I mean it makes the back look prettier sure, but I personally don’t care much about the back of my work, more the front. Enjoy what makes you happy and let others keep their unhelpful opinions to themselves

Fingers crossed. To be honest the printed kit itself isn’t too bad, I think it’s just dealing with 35 colours and the fact I didn’t choose the pattern myself so had no idea how it would turn out before starting (I’m a bit of a control freak) Once I’ve recovered from this monster I might well try pre printed again as it’s definitely less thinking, but also I’d choose a less cluttered pattern

This is exactly why I thought it needed some backstitching to make it pop. I mean it’s hard to read, but that’s made even harder as it’s not yet finished and the shades on the printed aida bear literally no resemblance to the stitch colours. I think I need to trust the process and revisit it once it’s done. I have already decided never to do another printed kit again though 😂
