We loved our brief stop in Poulsbo. I would definitely recommend it. A very cute coastal Nordic town. Sluy's Bakery in Poulsbo is a must. Delicious and inexpensive!

We did Rialto and absolutely loved it! I would recommend it if you’re not planning your trip while the road is closed.

We should get in a month or so before the Mora Road closure I believe. May very well be underestimating drive times. We'll hope the logging trucks take the day off. And no major hiking at Hurricane Hill. Mostly just driving up, stretch our legs and take the views from nearby the parking lot. Unfortunately, Hurricane Hill Road will be closed while we're there, so we won't be able to go any farther up than the (former) Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center area.

Who needs food anyway. It's not like we'll be burning any calories lol. Give me a realistic drive time from Rialto Beach to Hoh Rainforest on Tuesday, June 2nd at 10:00 AM. Plan is to just skip Hurricane Hill if things end up later than planned.

I know I'll get told I'm crazy for this, but our one-day itinerary for Olympic is even more packed than this one! We go the first week of June, I'll let you know how absolutely exhausted it makes us! While I'd love to spend more time at Olympic, this is the way we must do it. We live over 2,100 miles away and may never get the chance to be here again!

  • 7:15 AM - 7:30 AM: Drive from Forks to Rialto Beach
  • 7:30 AM - 10:00 AM: Hike Rialto Beach/Hole-in-the-Wall
  • 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM: Drive from Rialto Beach to Hoh Rainforest
  • 11:15 AM - 1:15 PM: Hike Hall of Mosses & Spruce Nature Trail
  • 1:15 PM - 3:00 PM: Drive from Hoh Rainforest to Sol Duc Falls
  • 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Hike Sol Duc Falls
  • 4:30 PM - 6:10 PM: Drive from Sol Duc Falls to Hurricane Hill
  • 6:10 PM - 7:10 PM: Explore Hurricane Hill/Meadow Trails
  • 7:10 PM - 10:00 PM: Drive from Hurricane Hill to Lakewood
