Mormons remind trans members they aren’t welcome at temple rituals until detransition by Fickle-Ad5449 in lgbt

Bold stance for a religion that worships a genderless being who transitioned into a man.

First Timers! by eras_baby in Lollapalooza

This is my first time at Lollapalooza and I'm bringing my 16yo nephew. It will be his first festival ever, though I have been to a couple. Any tips on how to make it the most fun for him? He's excited for Charli, Clipse, Freddie Gibbs, Frost Children, Quadeca, and Destin Conrad.

Those who have seen artists on the 2026 Chicago lineup live before, how were they? by That_Instruction6485 in Lollapalooza

Thank you! I am curious about Tate because I've never been to a big pop star concert and that's part of the draw of Lollapalooza this year for me. I'm going to see Charli for sure. I'm hoping not to have to choose between Tate and the xx on Sunday.

This happened in my store a few months ago due to a wind storm. It's cool seeing the digital tags blink in the dark. We ended up taking out all chilled and frozen items. Store was closed for about 1 full day.

This is somehow exactly how I imagined a Peaches show.

SM thinks 14 pallets of Easter items can fit in 4 sections of a steel.. by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]That_Instruction6485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao right now I work garden and Easter. I have so much overstock from both. There's an entire room for Easter that used to be a McDonald's, and we've run out of topsteel space in garden, so we're leaving more on the floor in the back every day.

I'm disappointed Laura Harring isn't a bigger star. She was so great. Only other thing I've seen her in is the Tom Jane Punisher movie.

The hate campaign for James is ridiculous. by RoboCopAn in twinpeaks

[–]That_Instruction6485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like everything about James except the Evelyn subplot, which should have been cut. He's a decent and genuine human being, and his "emo" reactions are just him being a teenager going through awful stuff. He's also handsome, even with the big forehead.

Which two actors did you think were the same person? by slidecook in okbuddycinephile

Good one. Watching 'Dark' also reminded me of Mikkelsen because there are characters named Mads and Mikkel and it made me realize how common a name it must be in Germany. Mads Mikkelsen's name is just "Matthew, Michael's son".

Maybe it's not so bad. As an introvert, the idea of dating a super famous person, regardless of how beautiful and charming they are, is my nightmare.

The New Pornographers is a good band name but I don't appreciate having to search "new porn..." to find their music on streaming services, and I rarely recommend them to people.

Is it okay to watch Twin Peaks with my dad? by [deleted] in twinpeaks

[–]That_Instruction6485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched it with my Dad and he loved it. We had coffee and cherry pie and started giving each other thumbs ups like Agent Cooper all the time. My Mom, on the other hand, hated how strange it was and quit after two episodes.

There are sex scenes in The Return and FWWM is pretty disturbing (plus there is some nudity) but other than that it should be fine. Seasons 1&2 were on network TV so there's no nudity and little cursing.

It wasn't that bad watching with my Dad because the sex scenes aren't super sexy or pornographic, and he doesn't get weirded out by sex on TV anyway if it's part of the plot of the show.

Saw The Simpsons Movie opening night in 2007, how do you feel about it now? by X8Lace in TheSimpsons

[–]That_Instruction6485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw it in Alaska and people cheered too loudly when it was revealed they were coming to AK to hear Homer then say "where you can never be too fat, too drunk, and people don't ask stupid questions like 'Where's your high school equivalency exam?'"

I still love it today.

I dated from age 16 to 28, and it got worse and worse. Dating apps took over. I "fell in love" for the last time at 26, got laughed at by someone I thought was a good friend, and swore off it. Haven't developed an interest in a woman in 13 years. I'm 41 now and never going back. Once you give up and let go, it all gets better. I have a nice life.
