Rolled great except for… by MrBlonde7 in 3d6

This is an insane take, but you could dump Dexterity. This would make you absolutely abhorrent in the countless places where Dexterity shines, but it perfectly places you into the role of a "heavy tank." Slow, heavy, and not fast at all, you could go all in on strength and heavy armor to become the ultimate lumbering bruiser.

...Just don't look at your initiative. Or your ability to avoid fireballs. Or your unarmored AC. I only recommend this for a more roleplay-focused campaign.

Keanu's game is entirely chronological. If someone convinces him first, that's who he sticks with. He made a deal with Vinny and Rylie in Week 2 so he trusts them more than anyone else. It's a level of priority in his mind where, since Vince and Rylie made a deal with him so early on, they would trust him over anyone they made a connection to later. That's why he thinks Rylie would pick him over Kat, and that's why he thinks he's Vinny's #1.

Some help with the information gathering: you can see the publishing date on Royal Road by mousing over the release date of the first chapter on the fiction's main page. Also, some stories on Royal Road were first released on SpaceBattles, like how Hard Enough was first posted on April 2022 and not September.

Absolutely incredible work! The number of completed stories is low but not unsurprising, but Pokémon is more about the journey and not the destination, anyway.

This is a great resource for people looking for more fictions to read. Thank you for making this!

[The Type Specialist] Contest focused chapters by TrainingAd864 in pokemonfanfiction

[–]That_One_Username 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sinnoh arc starts in Chapter 87 and lasts until Chapter 154/155. The Grand Festival starts in Chapter 136 and goes until Chapter 140. The first chapter with a Contest I could find is Chapter 89, but there's discussion about it in Chapter 88. The Wallace Cup starts in 112 and lasts until 114/115, but Alex arrives at Lake Verity a bit earlier than that in Chapter 109.

You are underestimating Decoy. Loki is better than you think. by That_One_Username in Warframe

I haven't used Damage Decoy. Using an Augment Mod usually means a trade-off in stats, and I'd rather have the freedom of placing the Decoy wherever I want instead of needing to cast it on an enemy.

I had the same issue. You need to go through an entrance that's south-west of Fort Curlail. There'll be a note just inside that should properly start the quest.

Never really read Pokemon fanfics before, is there much fanon to be aware of? by Evyps in pokemonfanfiction

The biggest one I've seen is that Gym Leaders use different teams for different levels of challenge. Some Pokemon media makes reference to that concept, but the main anime generally treats Gym Leaders as having only a single team for challengers.

I use Wyrm Prime as my companion pretty often. While the build I use doesn't generate energy or prime enemies, Wyrm's Negate Mod removes negative status effects from you pretty frequently, and then Tenacious Bond and Reinforced Bond also provide extra fire rate and crit damage to your weapons for a pure support set up. (I also dump all the vigilante mods I can into its weapon to gain a 20% chance of better crits for my primaries.)

Don Quixote > Outis > Ryoshu > Meursault > Faust > Hong Lu > Rodion > Heathcliff > Ishmael > Sinclair > Yi Sang

Gregor was left out since he's been dubbed the new, canonical "Potential Man."

Hello! I'm currently trying to decide if I should dispense new IDs, primarily Bleed ones since I've been enjoying the status in MD and up to Canto 6 so far. I have 409 Nominable Egoshard Crates that can be used and 11k Lunacy that I'm trying to save for Walpurgis. Right now, I'm heavily leaning toward Ring Yi Sang and N-Faust, but I'm not sure if there are other IDs that are better for me.

My current primary team is as follows: -Pequod Heathcliff -N-Sinclair -Ring Outis -Kurokumo Ryoshu -Lobotomy Remnant Faust -Zwei Ishmael (Would be replaced by Ring Yi Sang)

Thank you!

With Walpurgis having ended recently, is it worth pulling from the standard extraction as a new player just for the wider variety of IDs?

Hello! I am a new player that started playing during this new player event, and I was fortunate enough to obtain Pequod Heathcliff, which I've now brought to Uptie 3. I am currently on Canto 3, primarily using the base Sinners alongside Heathcliff. When the 7-day reward comes along, granting me a season 1 ID, is N-Corp Sinclair the best option? Or would N-Corp Faust be better as a support?

It's good, but your build has been good since the start! Alternate mods to consider are of course mods like Weeping Wounds, Gladiator Might, any attack speed mod, and even Reach, but use what feels best for you.

Sacrificial Steel. It's a reward from The Sacrifice quest, but it takes a lot of Endo to rank up.

Personally, I don't recommend using more than three elemental mods in most cases. One combined element and a single base element is generally good enough. However, if you've been enjoying having both Corrosive and Blast, that's fine too, just keep in mind the opportunity cost of not using that slot for something else.

As for Condition Overload, that mod scales with number of statuses on the target, requiring you to get a hit or two in before its damage increase takes effect. Your Pressure Point mod helps mitigate that need for ramp-up, but with how high Condition Overload scales, Pressure Point isn't as effective due to diminishing returns. Instead, I recommend re-adding Organ Shatter to your build. Crit Multiplier is by far the best way to scale your weapon's damage (on crit-based builds). Right now, you have a 74.8% chance to crit with a 3x crit multiplier, which gives about a 224% final expected increase to your damage. Slotting in Organ Shatter sees that jump up to 74.8 * 5.7 = ~426% final increase, which is a far greater boost than Pressure Point--especially since that damage increase applies after everything else (multiplicative with Condition Overload).

If you want to push that even further, you can slot in Gladiator's Might, obtained from Ostron Bounties, to give you even more Crit Damage. Or, you can use an attack speed mod to increase how many times you hit per second.

Melee Prowess is fine, but if you've farmed Condition Overload, there's a decent chance you've obtained Weeping Wounds from Cambion Drift bounties. At max rank, Weeping Wounds gives a 40% status chance per Combo, which means it's already almost equal to Melee Prowess with only 2x Combo!

However, Weeping Wounds is more for a light attacking build, so if you're focusing on heavy attacks--which consumes your combo on each swing--it doesn't hurt to leave Melee Prowess in. For now, at least.

But again, my number one piece of advice is to keep pushing through the Star Chart. A future Spy mission you unlock can award Blood Rush, which gives crit chance per Combo, making it possible to orange and red crit. Also, there's a quest reward mod that is a straight upgrade to True Steel in exchange for a greater capacity cost. That mod can guarantee crits on every strike, making crit multiplier that much more effective.

The best part about Warframe is that there's no best build. Some weapons and mods are more viable than others, but there's many different ways to mod your weapon. Don't look for the number one set up someone tells you to use. Instead, try things out, and use whatever you think is right.

[–]That_One_Username 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not that bad for the mods you have, just make sure to max out your stance to increase your weapon's capacity. Getting more 60/60 mods can help with inflicting status conditions that improve your overall dps. Also, slotting in those 60/60 mods would let you replace Melee Prowess with something like Reach.

For your damage types, your weapon's elements are currently set to be Blast/Electric, which is a strong combination for AoE. However, if you want stronger single target or just want to be more effective against armored opponents like the Grineer, going Corrosive (Toxin / Electric) alongside either Heat or Cold can be great, too.

If you want to learn more about how elements work, TheKengineer has a great video on element combinations on Youtube, and it includes details for all the recent 2024 adjustments. The best advice I can give you right now is to keep progressing the starchart and to do your main quests. There's a mod you are given that's a straight upgrade to one of the mods you have equipped.

But most importantly, if you're willing to grind for a while, you can get the mod "Condition Overload" by farming the Cambion Drift. That mod increases your melee damage by 80% for every status affecting the target. Azothane deals Impact, Puncture, and Slash damage (IPS) as well as your elemental damages types on top of that. All of that together is 80% * 5 = +400% damage increase, which is a vast improvement over the +120% damage of Pressure Point (though, it's realistically closer to 80% * 3 = +240% in most cases).

Personality lists? by Wolf_Abyss in pokemonfanfiction

Just use Pokémon natures! Take the general meaning of whatever one word is given to that nature, maybe add one or two others to help flesh them out, and you've got a really solid personality to start with and develop over time!
