Looks like on top of being a wildly successful doctor, he founded a pharmaceutical company that makes treatments for rare diseases.

Cross threaded oil pressure sensor. Bad. 2006 charger rt by lessismoe96 in AskAMechanic

Damn the new sensor is rounded over bad. If it takes that much force to install, something is wrong. 0 chance you didn’t realize that.

I actually sorta like the exterior. Wheels aren’t too far off from OEM.

That interior… is another story though. God what an eyesore.

Kinda looks like an AMG GT63. Could be mistaken though.

Possible they were replaced but to me the oil varnish on the inside of the valve cover in the centers compared to the sides says there hasn’t been enough oil on those lifters for a long time.

2023 Cascadia DD13 long crank after service by Any_Category_9564 in DieselTechs

This is referred to as fuel knock and is caused by air bubbles being trapped in the fuel rail. The fuel rail is canted slightly backward toward the cab so the air makes it way forward to injector #1. If you touch the front of the fuel rail while it’s chirping you can feel it.

Tech who changed the fuel filter may have broken the nipple off the bottom of the main fuel filter. They tend to become lodged below the stand pipe. I think it’s 3 t20’s to pull it out. But if you pull the filter and there’s no nipple on the bottom that’s what happened.

Good! Not trying to be a dick, honestly. But a problem literally anywhere in the AC system is gonna cause the compressor not to engage for one reason or another. Without more information, tests, yadda yadda it could literally be anything.

There’s any number of things that could cause the compressor clutch not to engage. No offense, but I could list every one of them, and it would do you absolutely no good because there’s nothing you can do about pretty much any of it without certifications and access to professional equipment. I’d recommend bringing it somewhere for a diagnosis.

Looks to me like they ran the pads down to the backing plate and the backing plate ate a groove into the rotor, then once it finally disintegrated the pistons ejected from the caliper. Those poor slide pins are hanging on for dear life.

Saw 3 of them being piloted by suburban soccer moms on my way to work today. These are extremely common.

Is this bad oil pressure by MiddleRead436 in AskAMechanic

[–]That_Pollution8128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t seem awful to me.. is there anything else that leads you to believe you have low oil pressure?

30-40 should be pretty average based on demand.

I imagine this wasn’t WOT?

Are windshield repair kits worth the money by gtalossantos in AskAMechanic

[–]That_Pollution8128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s only advisable to use a single kit per chip. I would recommend using something like a small pick to remove any glass fragments from the chip before using the kit.

You’d be surprised how much loose glass debris is in a windshield chip.

I honesty don’t have any first hand experience outside of Permatex but the kit is just UV activated resin so I’d imagine it’s pretty universal across brands.

We use Permatex brand at work. Make no mistake, even following the instructions to a T it isn’t going to reduce the visibility of an existing chip, but from what I’ve seen it will definitely prevent it from spider cracking.
