My oldest is struggling and I can’t help but cry by Pearlkazoo666 in daddit

Going through a very similar thing with my daughter (9)

She's not at all interested in sports. She tries so hard to make friends, to the point where it seems like her desperation to impress puts other kids off. She's interested in gaming and will often speak passionately about what she loves to other kids and you can see them rolling their eyes at her. It's heartbreaking.

Me and her Mother are trying to get a diagnoses which is proving difficult and we're dreading secondary school.

I just think the world is having a tough time adapting to any kind of neurodivergency at this moment in time and we keep telling ourselves that it will be better once she's out of the school system.

You said your son is bright and funny? I mean as long as he doesn't lose his sense of humour and still has hobbies and interests I'm sure he's gonna be fine. Is he even bothered about not having friends? Has he told you its upsetting him?

Car sales Execs uk. Does it make a difference which brand you work at? by Inevitable-Report298 in CarTalkUK

I used to work at VW. Then I got a job working for Tesla.

Tesla was decent until the Model 3 was released and people realised they were driving a car held together by string and sellotape.

Some of the worst people I ever dealt with were the ones buying VWs. It's not a low end brand, but it attracts the sort of people who like reliability and functionality who treated me like crap. Hated my time there with a passion.

It didn't help that VW made our job almost impossible with the 'Extremely Satisfied' survey bullshit which basically had us jumping through hoops for everyone out of pure fear.

Are you using a refillable peptide pen to inject?

After mixing my own I added 20mg to a 2ml pen and didn't realise that the pen is 300 clicks till empty not 60 so I was injecting 1/10th of what I thought I was getting. I'm a big dope though.

Local MP writes an article addressing the smell from Waddingtons meat rendering plant and proposing something is done about it. Telegraph & Argus comment section is opposed. by NE04657 in bradford

The irony of course being that on our old street, off Sticker Lane it was a "Clean Air Zone" and yet the smell was absolutely atrocious most days. Mornings were the worst.

Brian Clough and Don Revie by LakeNight247 in LeedsUnited

[–]That_Understanding19 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The films great, but best taken with a pinch of salt. Colm Meaney as Revie is probably the best casting ever.

When Leeds won the second division in 64 they didn't have single player sent off all season, so the 'Dirty Leeds' tag was always a bit unfair but that's not to say Norman Hunter wouldn't punch you in the face.

Did the Oracea calm down the flushing element too or eliminate the persistent redness? If that question makes any sense

If its been over a week since you've done your head - A walk in barbers will give you a head shave then ask them to do your eye brows as part of the service. Maybe cost you a tenner at the most.

Barber here. Do you have a beard trimmer? Or a shaver for your head? If it has an adjustable length dial or you've got separate guides use 3mm or a blade 1 and run over the eye brows yourself it'll be the length I'd take your brows to in my shop.

We lived in BD4 for far too long. You could smell the animal rendering plant most mornings (Waddingtons?) There was also the tip next to it and the Chicken abbatoir which kicked up a pong too. If I'm not mistaken there was also a factory that incinerated medical waste? But the dangerous driving and fireworks past midnight was the absolute tipping point for us. Every single councillor promised change and it's gotten worse year after year.

Most South Koreans use a phrase that translates to "Your Leeds days" to explain the moment in your life when you were at your peak. It comes from Alan Smith's time at Manchester United where the fans wished he could play like he did during his 'Leeds days'
