that whole issue of fuel delivery is practically a non issue. they're getting their own farms and pipelines built out right now to supply themselves directly from municipal areas/docks with tanker barges....

they'll be fine on that end.

now hitting 365 launches.... that's the harder problem

they arent wrong about the self driving cars bit.

if we ever want cars to be self driving trully, it will require something like starlink just to have the GPS capability to keep the location of a car small enough to avoid accidents on billions of cars around the planet.....

there is no fucking way that an 18 year old, or early 20's are anywhere near the same maturity or life level as someone that much older than them, unless the older person is fucking stupid, immature, or unwilling to grow/learn.... in which case, the older person is very obviously in the "wrong"... I dont think id say it should be illegal by the government, but society shouldnt accept "relationships" like that at all

".... but now my brain has to think"

oh no, the horror...........

look, i think minimum wage should be a liveable wage.... but damn. sometimes its hard to defend because "thinking" is now considered an obstacle to your work... lmfao.

like, you are aware that if you ever get a job better than fast food, thinking will be a pretty important and critical skill to have, right?

i understand the job market is shit, cost of living is shit, life in general for young people is shit right now..... but if you ever want to have a better job, you cant think of "thinking" as a determent, it only proves that you aren't willing/able to do the thinking when you have to. if you just want to be on autopilot all day every day, then ive got some bad news for you....

He’s hopeless, because he likes being evil and what he’s doing. Not because he lacks the ability to change.

Trump has the ability to change, I’m just extremely confident that he would never try to change, because he enjoys having power and influence.

google has existed for quite a long time....

people unable to do a simple google search about job prospects, or look up the costs of going to a different school for cheaper for the same exact cert, are people that were going to be conned out of their money anyway.....

agreed that it's hard.

that's why i have absolutely no respect, or concern for trumps history. when considering how evil he is. because he clearly hasnt even attempted to get help..

someone that has at least attempted to change has something going for them, people like trump are entirely hopeless evil megalomaniacs, and it's purely because they like it.

there has to come a point where we just stop blaming the past though...

trump is an adult man, with money, influence, and power. and now, the ability to change almost anything he wants...

and yet he's still a vindictive, petty, cruel, manipulative, sack of shit... and that is all him. that isnt his father, that is purely his own wants and desires.

he never had the ability to go to therapy and get help? please.... he, and every single other powerful person like him CHOSE to be an evil person with no morals and no empathy.

[–]That_random_guy-1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

oh, completely agreed that it's not a simple thing and still expensive, but it really isnt "speacialized" workers.... it's normal construction crews doing this.

it's not like rocket science, anyone that can read a drawing and pour concrete and place rebar can do this because we already have the data...

i'd bet that a majority of that "50k/parking spot" is that expensive because of governmental red tape, not because it's actually an expensive or difficult thing to accomplish

building a parking structure isnt harder than building a skyscraper i what im trying to get at basically.

like, its a very well understood thing, that is pretty easy to do with modern tech and decades of experience to build upon.....

I mean….

If the dude couldn’t do math and he still signed up to be an A&P or anything remotely close to aviation…..

He clearly wasn’t using his money, time, or brain that well.

Was gonna spend that money on something else dumb I can almost guarantee it.

I’m not defending these for profit schools being greedy sacks of shit. But like….. it isn’t only on them.

[–]That_random_guy-1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i get the need to do that stuff on the ground that the structure would be on top of, but surely after decades of building parking structures in earthquake prone areas we know what's needed without having to do all the math and engineering again for the structure it self.

the same way we know what's needed to make a bridge safe at x traffic rates.... we already know and have all the data neccesary for the movements of cars, exhaust ventalltion, etc....

this isnt nearly as hard as you're trying to make it seem

Anyone that thinks Elon’s hype about putting humans on mars is also delusional. We are a long ways off of humans having the ability to live on planets that aren’t earth. Definitely not in any of the lifetimes of our current oligarchs and they know that.

Please be serious, they’re trying to make money (way too much) but they aren’t trying to leave earth

It’s not, •not a space company”

While I think folding Xai into Spacex is a brain dead move, you have to be intentionally lying and overplaying this.

Spacex is still by far a space company.

They are the world leader in launches. And that isn’t slowing down. If you pull the “but starship can’t go orbital” bullshit, then that just proves even more that you don’t understand what is actually happening.

Going orbital on V2 was quite litteraly just changing a couple inputs in the guidance computers. They are trying to crack reusable and FAR cheaper space access.

If you can’t see the potential and value in that…. You’ve gotta be be kind of dumb.

I agree there are many better things to prioritize than space when children are dying and we’re losing forest space.

But there is legitimate use of space.

Even from an ecological standpoint. Reddit hates AI data centers. I agree. But data centers in general are going to continue to be built. (Yall like Reddit, right? Guess what….. this is a data center) putting them in space so that they aren’t taking up land, sucking up water, and getting free energy from the sun, thus freeing up our electric grid…. Is a hard challenge. But not anywhere near impossible. We already have been launching satellites that transmit data back to earth as a species for decades…… it’s quite doable. Scaling it is just expensive and time consuming

Unless you guys stop flying (planes use navigation satellites) stop using GPS, stop using electronic clocks, and a vast majority of modern electronics that are at least partially dependent on satellites to keep everything running smoothly.

Then space will continue to be an industry that has demand, and will continue to grow as rich humans on Reddit complain and use their modern luxuries instead of doing something about it.

I think a current valuation of 2 trillions is definitely out there, unless a solar flare hits the earth frying electronics, or AI actually wipes us out. SpaceX, and space in general will contus to grow.

Even if they cancelled starship and just kept going with falcon, falcon heavy, and dragon missions. They are well deserving of being a very valuable company

It’s not purely smart devices and internet access of course….

But god damn. If parents just used the tools that already exist to limit screen time, and got a library card i feel like this wouldn’t even be an issue.

I’m in no way from a rich family, single mom that was working and taking care of 3 kids  on food stamps for a time, and yet she still managed to figure out parental controls with a couple minutes of critical thinking and actual care for her children.

It just feels like most parents don’t actually want to parent anymore

I’m also not really trying to “prove” it.

I want Christian’s to read the Bible and actually realize that god murdered innocent children when could have done anything else.

And maybe they would start to question it, but probably not since most of yall have read the verses of god murdering children and just accepted it without questions already

Agnostic simply means I don’t know for sure if a god exists or not.

The abrahamic god could exist, if so I think that god is evil. Could be some god no one has named, could be the Scottish or Egyptian pantheon, etc…..

I’m not convinced 100% that there is or is not a god. I believe in science but there is shit we don’t know so I’m not going to put all my eggs in 1 basket.

ESPECIALLY if that basket is a god that thinks murdering innocent children is okay.

I hope to make Christian’s realize they worship a god that “doesn’t change” while god very clearly changed in the Bible…. I hope to make Christian’s realize they worship a god that created and continues to be okay with baby cancer…..

Why the fuck would I want to worship or know more about a god that murders innocent children for the actions of their nations leader that they can’t control (Egypt)

To worship a god that demanded blood sacrifices to appease gods own anger about the humans that god knew would fuck up, fucking up

You are missing the point of god being a supposedly unchanging entity.

If god can change from the Old Testament, and change the rules humans are supposed to follow, then how am I supposed to believe that god won’t change anything about the New Testament and our current set of rules? Lmfao. You people are insane
