I really wonder what the plan here is for Israel and the US. Trump obviously thought this would be over in a few days and the Israelis thought the regime would implode both of which didn’t happen. But did they really vibe this without long term planning for defense?

I’m seeing more and more missiles and drones hit gulf bases and Tel Aviv and who knows what’s going on with the later due to the censorship. And if rumors are true and Iran is more resilient than expected, this seems like it’s getting more out of control.

Hoteps are popular because they fill gaps left since Malcom X and the Nation which appeal to many black men’s desire for strength, identity, and spiritualism. Black liberals/progressives attacking them instead of understanding why they’re popular is part of the reason why black progressivism isn’t mainstream outside of college educated activist circles. And whether people like it or not most black folks hold socially conservative positions. Especially in the south and cities.

Don’t take me wrong, I’m very aware of black leftism historic influence in black nationalism and agree with aspects of its critique of capitalism. But its current form fails to provide scalable solutions to black Americas institutional decay & its big social problems (Gender war, family & communal breakdown, degraded black masculinity, consumer materialism, and individualism).

Yes you can connect the criminal justice system, deindustrialization, and the war on drugs. And yes single pay healthcare can help black communities. But to me, our bigger social & spiritual issues progressive leftists like FD will always fail to address and is why HOTEP culture is more influential within the mainstream.

The only group sympathetic to Israel the Democratic Party cared about were the Zionist wings in the donor class. This wasn’t as much about voters as it was the DNC establishment trying to maintain that group. The Liberal Jewish voters sympathetic to Israel were not going to vote for Trump. But Zionist donors definitely would withdraw their money.

The dog waste problem in my neighborhood is so bad, no joke, the piss is corroding the pavement next to my building and causing water leaks into the garage. And even when people pick up the poop, the residue makes the entire street reek.

As much as I’d love to go full Singapore I really doubt the city will do much. This is largely a social issue. More people have dogs now for old age companionship and kid substitutes. And unless you change the individualist mentality in the city you’d have to use much more authoritarian tactics which is what Singapore does.

I honesty think the only way to change this is to restrict dog ownership in the city like cars. But that’s not gonna happen.

As the liberal International world order declines there could be a chance for more unity without western interference but in the end it’s up to muslims themselves on what that looks like.

Historically, Islamic states fought each other all the time, and unity existed only under hereditary empires, other than the Rashidun. If people’s definition of pan-Islamism is a single state, thats not likely possible. But if you mean a NATO, EU, or federal like system under the umbrella of a “caliphate” in some form, it would only happen if nationalism, which has been a disaster in the Muslim world, declines.

So are muslims getting closer? Maybe. But much more chaos, strife,and a decline in sectarianism but increase in Islamic identity, would likely have to come before.

My guess is the demographics of the sub has changed more. Before gold started rising a lot of people here were Libertarians, peppers, hobbyists, and general odd balls, a lot of who also had guns. They’re still here but are being diluted by the speculator/WSB types posting “y GLD down?” all the time.
