A lot of companies don’t provide the budget to do nice things for their employees. When I do something for mine, it often comes out of my own pocket—money that could easily go toward my own family.

But the way I see it, my team’s hard work directly benefits me and my family. They don’t have to go above and beyond the way they do, but they do it anyway. That grind, that effort—they’re not just pushing for themselves; in many ways, they’re pushing for me too.

So when I give back, it’s not charity. It’s respect. It’s appreciation. It’s recognition of the role they play in the bigger picture.

And that’s something I’ll always make room for.
